its the newest one, and i use it to go to sleep but i also have some very upbeat songs for running.. and when i am tired and it changes on to it its not great... so... when i click the play/pause button, it locks itself... so its not very helpful ! please help

Your being very broard here. What app is is? Have you sined in? Is the app downloading? Do other ones download? Does it give you any errer codes? If so google it. Worst case jailbreak it and get installous.
