For the rear, remove the tire and wheel. Remove the Brake Caliper and Brake pad bracket. Then the rotor should slide off the wheel studs. The front may have to have the spindle retaining nut and cotter pin removed once the brake pad bracket is removed. Be careful to not get dirt in the bearing.

the manufactures answer is no, but the answer to me is yes.... in order to remove it from a 98 or newer amigo you must remove the rear Glass window and that requires removing 1 thing of weather stripping from the vehicle, so if you dont mind that then the top can be removed.

The seemingly expert discussion I read said that they only made 2 versions: Convertible and fixed hard top. That was because they made a study of Jeep CJ owners (it's most similar competition), which indicated something like 97% never removed the hardtop on those vehicles, and making the top removeable costs like $500 more and has engineering problems.The convertible Amigo has a canvas (supposidly) easily retractable top where the hartop portion would otherwise be. Unfortunately, it also has plastic windows.

Either you are low in transmission fluid or the transmission is slipping. Take it to a well qualified transmission repair facility.
Another possibility is the Throttle position sensor is bad. when the vehicle is off, locate it, it will be on the throttle on the other side of the housing from where the cable connects. you can unplug this and use an ohm meter to check I believe the outside terminals while opening the throttle slowly. If at any time its open the ohms increase or go over the limit then the switch is bad and it sends a closed throttle signal to the computer which cuts off the fuel supply to the engine which creates a bump feeling, or a jerking.

Most likely a bad ABS sensor or broken wiring. Most suspect is the connector atop the rear differential. With bumps and the up/down motion of the rear end, that particular wire gets pulled repeatedly - often resulting in a break in the wiring. That's where I'd check first!
