on the underside of the fore grip is a circled letter...a thru n = 1949 thru 1962. a 1949 b1950 c1951...and so on. p=1964. r thru v = 1964 thru 1968

This description could fit any one of a half dozen or more boy's rifles manufactured from the mid 1890's to the 1930's. There was a "revival" of the Stevens Favorite in the 1990's. Would have to know ALL the markings and where they are located to positively identify it.

Model 66 was made in 410,20,12ga condtion is the key.so any were from no much to $350.00 for a 410 in excellent shape

I have been seeking a similar answer. Some of the websites I have visited indicate that they are selling for $100-200. I'm not sure how accurate that is, though.

My experience for similar guns (like Stevens 311, Stevens 5100, etc) is that your gun is likely worth 250-300 in good condition with little room for movement either way given bad (but working) condition or excellent condition.

This model was manufactured from 1973 to 1978 by Erma Werke in West Germany for Ithaca.

this is a Lewis model made between 1905 1910.

Most all the Ithaca Pump model 37 were Engraved with 3 ducks and on the other side Pointer Flushing out 2 pheasants. It a common engraving we all see on Ithaca but you have an 1937 model like I do ,I have one as well with a serial number 2493, believe me they are worth keeping because that was the 1st year Ithaca made the Model 37 they only produced 3,500 shotgun in 1937

What is the serial # on the gun? With the serial #, one can date the gun and the model. It is simple then to get an estimate from the Blue Book of Gun Values. If you supply the first three digits and the total # of digits (eg.: 333xxx), I can do it for you.

First, if it is a 16 gauge I don't think that it is a Deer Slayer. From my knowledge and experience, Ithaca only made the Deer Slayer in 12 and 20 gauge.

Second, what is the model number? There were two different model numbers with the Deer Slayer name attached to them.

Wrong. I own a 16 gauge Ithaca with the deerslayer barrel. It was my fathers and his father's before him. It's a Model 37.

Indeed I as well own a 16 ga deerslayer,from 1970 .they are few and far between but yes the did make it,and in my mind the sweetest shotgun i ever put in my hands light fast and amazing accurate with beautiful checkering and for myself being a left handed shooter the bottom eject is excellent for not ejecting empty shells in the way of field of vision

It's an auction, so the current bid may not be what the final bid is - you have to follow it to its conclusion to find out. However, sometimes you will see a "Buy Now" offer at a set price. As you might expect there are a lot of variables that determine the worth of the gun.

I have a partial answer and plan to submit a question. Ithaca hammer shotguns with serial #'s below 33011 were produced before 1899. I have a hammer double barrel stagecoach shotgun with serial # 15864. I will post a question to find out its age.

I have one that my father bought me in the early 70's. As far as I can tell, from several web sites, it is a Ithaca Model # 49 SS.

Dependent on condition of the wood, bluing on the barrels, and case color on the receiver, as well as the condition of the bores. What length of barrels, what type of condition, etc is it in. It is a late production A H Fox Sterlingworth probably made after Savage purchased the company in 1929. The value could range anywhere from $300 - $1200 dependent on original condition, fit and finish.

The Springfield line was sold by Stevens/Savage from about 1920 until the 1940's. If you need a closer estimate of the age, you can get the Stevens Historian's address from savagearms.com and send him $15 and the serial number.

I sold one a few years back for about $350. Do you still have it and are you interested it selling it? I'm wishing I hadn't sold mine. I went to a pump for duck hunting but wish I still had an O/U for pheasant.

I have been looking at XL900's for 12 years now and I have found out that in the last 5 years they are getting harder to find for sale. It all depends on the condition. I have bought some Ithaca XL900's for $200.00 and I have had to pay $900.00 for some of them. Condition means alot. The gas-operated seems to be what everyone is looking for. Yes, both models were produced in 410.
