What is the model and age of a J Stevens pat 1794 22 LR lever action single shot with saddle ring and octagonal barrel?

This description could fit any one of a half dozen or more boy's rifles manufactured from the mid 1890's to the 1930's. There was a "revival" of the Stevens Favorite in the 1990's. Would have to know ALL the markings and where they are located to positively identify it.

What is the age and value of a 12 gauge Ranger 101.8 5100 side by side with 30 inch barrels and has the letters ajq and o neil?

My experience for similar guns (like Stevens 311, Stevens 5100, etc) is that your gun is likely worth 250-300 in good condition with little room for movement either way given bad (but working) condition or excellent condition.

Most all the Ithaca Pump model 37 were Engraved with 3 ducks and on the other side Pointer Flushing out 2 pheasants. It a common engraving we all see on Ithaca but you have an 1937 model like I do ,I have one as well with a serial number 2493, believe me they are worth keeping because that was the 1st year Ithaca made the Model 37 they only produced 3,500 shotgun in 1937

What is the value of a 12 gauge Ithaca side by side double barrel in good condition?

What is the serial # on the gun? With the serial #, one can date the gun and the model. It is simple then to get an estimate from the Blue Book of Gun Values. If you supply the first three digits and the total # of digits (eg.: 333xxx), I can do it for you.

What is the age of an Ithaca 16 gauge Deer Slayer 468938?

First, if it is a 16 gauge I don't think that it is a Deer Slayer. From my knowledge and experience, Ithaca only made the Deer Slayer in 12 and 20 gauge.

Second, what is the model number? There were two different model numbers with the Deer Slayer name attached to them.

Wrong. I own a 16 gauge Ithaca with the deerslayer barrel. It was my fathers and his father's before him. It's a Model 37.

Indeed I as well own a 16 ga deerslayer,from 1970 .they are few and far between but yes the did make it,and in my mind the sweetest shotgun i ever put in my hands light fast and amazing accurate with beautiful checkering and for myself being a left handed shooter the bottom eject is excellent for not ejecting empty shells in the way of field of vision

What is the value of a 12 gauge Ithaca double barrel serial 23751?

Try looking on Gunbroker.com for similar guns, and you can get an idea of what they are selling for. It's an auction, so the current bid may not be what the final bid is - you have to follow it to its conclusion to find out. However, sometimes you will see a "Buy Now" offer at a set price. As you might expect there are a lot of variables that determine the worth of the gun.

What is the estimated manufacture date of a New Ithaca double 12 gauge with exposed hammers SN 123564 stamped 12 A?

I sold one a few years back for about $350. Do you still have it and are you interested it selling it? I'm wishing I hadn't sold mine. I went to a pump for duck hunting but wish I still had an O/U for pheasant.

What is the value of a browning auto light twelve shot gun marked 69G15045?

According to the Browning website;

http://www.browning.com/customerservice/dategun/detail.asp?id=13

It is a 1969

1968-76 In 1969 Browning started using two digits for the date of manufacture which was followed by a four digit code that identified the type of Auto-5:

M=standard weight

G=light weight

This was then followed by the serial number beginning with 1000.

Example: 69G1000 = A 1969 Auto-5 Lightweight 12 ga.. shotgun with a serial number of 1000. M-standard weight

G=light weight

I have 70G 44331 and it is a Light Twelve (engraved) and state on the barrel that it was made in Belgium. I'm trying to find a value too.

AnswerBeing that you called it a "light twelve" (a Japanese made) and not an "auto 5 lightweight" (made in Belgium) it was introduced from Japan in 1975. I'm sorry I don't have a book with me to show production date based on your serial number. But the book I have reflecting prices as of 2002 (and they haven't change too drastically since) shows 500 for exc condition, 400 very good, 300 good and 250 for fair. I have one of these myself and love it.

What is the age and value of an Ithaca model number XL900 12 gauge shotgun serial number 1927037?

I have been looking at XL900's for 12 years now and I have found out that in the last 5 years they are getting harder to find for sale. It all depends on the condition. I have bought some Ithaca XL900's for $200.00 and I have had to pay $900.00 for some of them. Condition means alot. The gas-operated seems to be what everyone is looking for. Also the slug barrel for the gun is what alot of people are looking for. If you need more information or pictures you can email me at noncic1@yahoo.com Good luck David Krupinski

How old is a Peerless 12 gauge double barrel and what is its value?

Answer I also have a 12ga. peerless model,and yes I do shoot it to this day.I use it dove hunting,when I can't hit anything with my other gun I grab the old double and I swear I can't miss with it. They are a great shooting gun.But like the other person said it needs to be a later model.If you can find an oldtimer gun smith they will tell right away if to shoot it or admire it. Use only short brass and 6-1/2 to 8 shot. Mine used to rattle if you held it in one hand and kinda twisted it back and forth.I was lucky enough to find an old gunsmith close to my home and he fixed it to near perfection and told me to go and have a good time shooting a fine gun and that's what i will do as long as i can.I HAVE A PEERLESS MODEL 12 GA. HAMMERLESS THAT BELONGED TO MY GRANDFATHER ,MY UNCLE WAS ALLOWED TO HUNT WITH IT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 1925, MY UNK., SAID IT WAS AT LEAST 20 YEARS OLD THEN. THE BOOK SAYS 1888 TO 1892 AnswerIt could have been made anytime from the 1880's to about 1945. An early gun would have laminated barrels and probably large side-hammers. These should be retired and hung over the mantle unless you want to reload your own short, black powder shells. If was made later than about 1930, it will probably be a hammerless gun with fluid steel barrels and at least 2 3/4 inch chambers. If checked by an experienced gunsmith these might still be used with light loads. Between these dates it could be either. Value of these old utility doubles is usually between $150 and $250 for either a decorator or shooter. AnswerI ALSO HAVE AN OLD PEERLESS MODEL, 12 GAUGE DOUBLE BARREL. MINE IS MARKED NORWICH, CONN. USA. IT IS ALSO HAMMERLESS. AT BEST A LOOKER. MY ONLY PROBLEM IS THE BUTT STOCK ON THE RIGHT SIDE HAS A PIECE OF WOOD MISSING RIGHT NEXT TO THE BREAK. I HAVE CALLED ABOUT FINDING A REPLACEMENT BUTT STOCK WITHOUT ANY LUCK. SO I GUESS THAT SHE'LL JUST BE A LOOKER. I DID FIND ANOTHER PEERLESS MODEL ON THE INTERNET A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO. THEY WERE ASKING $250.00. I THOUGHT THAT WAS A LITTLE HIGH. UNLESS IT WAS IN GOOD/VERY GOOD CONDITION.

What is the value of Stevens 311A double barrel?

A utility double barrel 12 gauge shotgun that is fully functional will sell for $150 to $250, depending on condition.
