This was a trade name used by Anciens Etablissments Pieper in Belgium 1894 and later. Importing utility shotguns from Belgium pretty much ended when WWI started in 1914. Making any exposed hammer double barrel shotguns pretty much ended about the same time. This gun may have short (2 9/16") chambers and damascus barrels, and if so it will not be safe to use modern off-the-shelf ammunition. Value is primarily determined by how well it looks over a yuppie's fireplace, usually between $150 and $250.
What is a double barrel shotgun by Parker Bros worth dated 1907 serial 141254?
Yes, it's worth something. These were among the best of the American made double barrel shotguns. Even beat-up and broken it could have significant value as parts. You need to take your question to a board where real experts hang out. I'd suggest the shotgun page at AntiqueGuns.com (see related link on the right). Be prepared to describe the gun completely. List any marks found on the barrel and action, including those only visible when the gun is broken down, any engraving or inlays and the amount of original finish remaining. Posting pictures will help, too.
your gun is an Flues Model Ithaca Double the "S" means it is a single trigger (Optional) and 12 means 12 guage. Your gun was manufactured between 1914 and 1915 and discontinued in 1926 based on the serial number you provided. In mint condition it should be worth about $800.00 good condition 4 or 500.00
What is value of an Ithaca shotgun?
Ithaca double barrel shotguns were made in several grades. Value will depend on grade and condition. The Blue Book lists a 16 gauge field grade in 90% condition at $750 while a grade 5E is $2500. And there are also a Grade 7E and a Sousa Grade, which are so rare that it is impossible to estimate what one might bring at auction. A 20 gauge double in usable condition should be worth $150-$250. A 2500 series Centennial, which had some silver plated parts, is listed at $500 in NRA Very Good in the Standard Catalog. If it is the standard model, only $200.
New Answer
Your question as asked cannot be answered accurately, due to the large number of different shotguns made by Ithaca over the last 120 years. Some are very "cheap", while others are very expensive. Details such as Model, year, gauge, condition, etc. will all significantly impact its value. You might check out Gunbroker.com for some comparisons.
This gun was manufactured by Anciens Etablissments Pieper, Leige, Belgium, c. 1905-1914. It should not be fired unless it is checked and approved by a competent gunsmith, so it's primary value will be as a mantle decoration - $150-$250. Value will depend on how good it looks over the fireplace. Large side hammers seem to add a bit to the decorator value of an old double, so maybe as high as $250 if you catch a buyer in a good mood. Old damascus barreled guns should not be fired unless a really-really good gunsmith has given it his approval and determined the correct ammunition (which you will NOT find at Walmart or any chain porting goods store).

What is the value of an Ithaca 500 E 20 gauge over and under shotgun?
I just bought one of these at a gun shop for about 250, but it has a couple of small scratches on the wood.
Hi I bought one of these at Peabody's guns today for $140.00 It is in very good condition with one gouge in the checkering panel on the left side of the butt stock. Resale price on these is always low and the fit of metal to wood is poor on some of these but they are rugged and shootable.

What is the age and value of a Janssen Fils side by side shotgun with 90197 on the breech?
I suspect this is a utility shotgun made in Belgium circa 1900 (+/- 15 years). Value will be determined by how nice it looks over a mantle, usually between $100 and $250. Janssen did make some higher grade pieces, so if you have fine engraving, checkering, and/or a silver plate for the owner's name, it could bring more, but not very much more.
Where is the serial number located on an Ithaca Side by side?
The serial is usually found on the right side of the water table, on the barrel flats, and on the forend iron.
Made in 1918. Value is probably between $300-$500, depending on how badly someone is looking for one. The 12 GA models are pretty common, so don't bring as much at sale.

How can you put the hammer-spring back into an Ithaca long range double barrel?
I don't know if this will help because my gun is a Flues. On the flues with the bottom of the receiver off. I layed the receiver upside down on my bench. I put the spring in and the hammer on top of it. I then cut a small peice of wood the width of the hammer that was about 1 inch high off of the top of the hammer. Then I positioned the receiver right at the edge of the bench so I could use a 6 ingh c clamp positioning the one side under the receiver on the underside of the bench. And the othe side on the small peice of wood placed on top of the hammer. I was able to easily compress the spring by tightening the c clamp until I had the holes lined up to insert the pin. I hope I have helped you. But as I said I have a Flues not an NID. Good luck. Glen.
