Job Descriptions

Often, we have a general idea of what a job entails, but have questions about the specifics. The Job Description will give those specifics, though there might still be questions which can be asked in the job interview. Questions here may connect you with people who work in the field and with first-hand knowledge about the work involved in a specific position.

When an employer asks you about your educational background how should you answer the question?

Most job interview questions are very basic and aren't very complicated most of the time so answers shouldn't be too hard either. However, you still should formulate and process your answers carefully because you don't want to look like an idiot to a potential employer either. When asked about education start with high school and note some major things you might have done. Did you play for a sports team, get involved with any clubs, volunteer. Then move onto college if applicable and note your accomplishments there, and if at all possible note things you did in college that could possibly relate to the job you're trying to get.

What are hard labor jobs that offer 100000 plus pay and 7 day work weeks?

Hey everybody, basically I'm looking for information on employment opportunities for HARD-labor jobs that offer high pay and many overtime hours. By hard-labor I mean any kind of labor, and by many hours I mean the more the better (I'm willing to work 12 hour days, 7 days a week).

I've read several posts about people who have made over $100,000 (in some cases over $200,000) in a year, their first year of working in the field. Some of these jobs included working on oil rigs, with drilling companies, etc.

ABOUT MYSELF: I'm 20 years old, fairly strong (6'4'', 240 lbs), and am looking to go "all-out" and for a year or two looking to revolve my life around this job. For past work experience, I've worked in sales, IT and Ecommerce departments and have a high-school diploma and some college credits. Perfect record, no drugs/alchohol.

To some it all up, I'm looking for the MOST PROFITABLE labor job, regardless of comfort, stress. I want to return to California with several hundred thousand dollars, and in top physical condition from the job. Any advice of where to go or who to call to get hired is very appreciated, and anyone's past labor experiences are also appreciated!

Thanks, Darron

Give the answer for when you have worked as part of a successful team?

As part of my internship with Target, I completed various training courses ranging in subject area from ways to work with employees and coaching them on how to improve, to creating my own individual development plan fostering my current and future growth. I was also put in the role of Leader on Duty, where I was the acting store manager, as early as my second week with the company. My internship with Quintessential Careers taught me a great deal about working with a smaller, family business. I took the initiative to plan and implement our big events. My internship with Siemens made my experiences all inclusive as it gave me the opportunity to be one of the central components of such a large company and I was able to truly understand the impact of the political and legal systems on this industry's competitive environment.
