If your question is really how do you push the piston in on the caliper, if it is a hollow cup, use a C clamp to compress it. Lay one of the old pads across the face to push against. I have a Kia Sportage and was told I would need $2000+ work on it at 60,000 milles. Why doesn't other cars need a new timing belt at that amount of mileage? I ws happy with my Kia till I was told this. Pretty crappy isn't it?

Had the same problem.. could be either the fuel canister filter

(about $20) or canister valve (about $150) <--parts only. dirty filter or bad valve can cut off the airflow when your fueling so basically the force of the fuel going in builds up pressure and then spits back out at you... both of these parts are located under the car about mid section in a rectangular looking box held up by two metal straps. I think KIA should offer some type of rebate on the part or service for this.. due to how dangerous this is. Until you get it fixed, you might try to fill very slowly and release the handle on the pump a few times in between as you fill as to allow the gas and pressure to go back down in the tank, It will take a while but at least you won't get sprayed..

I have a 2003 Kia Sorento and I just changed mine right at 100K miles. Now I'm having problems with the Cam Shaft Positioning Sensor, replaced Alternator belt and variable intake was leaking......spent over 1G in 2 months. I am the original owner. Hope this helps. You must do it before 60k (non-california). I would say between 55k-58k. Don't wait to long, when the belt breaks, your repair bill will be well over 5k.

If the loose cable is the main one from the negative side of the battery, then everything will flicker simultaneously with the key on and the engine stopped. When the engine is running, the alternator will keep things energized. If you have a loose groung cable on one particular accessory, only that accessory will flicker or just remain off.
