I would ask google this question. Hair/Follicle tests are not the norm for routine drug testing due to the increased cost as apposed to urine testing. Everything I have read in the literature and articles says drugs can be detected up to 90 days using hair analysis. The hair is dissolved in a solvent and then tested in a gas chromotography tester. VERY ACCURATE. Each individual chemical and drug is identified so there is no margin for error like with immunoassay. Claiming to eat poppy seed bagles or the like will not work. Furthermore, these items are usually pre-screened on all tests now-a-days. However, the cost of testing hair is become less expensive. I would expect hair testing to become more widely used in the future.
