The most common people who score goals in lacrosse, are people who play the attack position. They are stationed on the opponents side of the field, ready to receive pass and cannon a shot into the goal. Midfielders(also known as Middies) are also very common scorers in Lacrosse. They can run anywhere on the field, but they start in the middle. They are not always near the opponents goal, so it is less often that they score. Also, It is not a middies main job to score, but it is an attack player's main job to score. There is one more player that can score, and that is the goalie. The goalie is allowed to run across the field with the ball and score. This is a very risky move though. Because if an opposing player steals the ball from the goalie, they could run to the goalie-free net and pop it in. So that is the lineup for the players that score goals in lacrosse.

Yes I have a friend that plays lacrosse and he got a scholarship to colledge through lacrosse, and because lacrosse isn't as popular as football, soccer, baseball etc. then you should be able to get a scholarship easier.

I play both attack and defense and I have found that the best stick to use in general is a harrow stick. I have the tapered shaft. In my opinion, it is the best for both attack and defense.

I play rugby which involves alot of running and i just run like a mile or two everyday to keep in shape. Also vary the speeds to push yourself

Improving Answer: As suggested above, run a mile or two daily to get in cardio shape, for endurance. And any day you don't run, do an indoor treadmill, stationary bicycle, or stair machine (slow pace) instead. Now for speed, short bursts of speed during a play in the game, you should practice sprinting and do some weight training on your legs and hips at the gym.

Finally, don't do any hard training the day before a game. Rest and save your energy for the game itself.

It is very hard to tell if someone is wearing a mouthguard if it is clear, especially in men's lacrosse where the helmet further obstructs the view. Wearing a mouthguard in a sport like lacrosse is essential not only for protecting the teeth, but also in preventing concussions. If a player is wearing a clear mouthguard the referee is unable to tell if he or she is actually wearing it. Some refs will let you color in the front part of it with a black permanent marker, to more clearly indicate that the player is wearing the required safety equipment.
