That depends on the stream or river's location in the world and, more importantly, what lies upstream. A Delta, in hydrologic terms, is an alluvial deposit, often in the shape of the Greek letter "delta", which is formed where a stream drops its debris load on entering a body of quieter water. Alluvium is typically made up of a variety of materials, including fine particles of silt and clay and larger particles of sand and gravel. This is a vast region of very old and almost flat mountains in Eastern Canada, important for their high mineralization [ gold, silver, copper, nickel, uranium, to name a few ]. the Canadian shield is located in eastern and central Canada

The Alps

The Himalayas consist of mountain ranges, including Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world. Other landforms in the region include deep valleys, glaciers, alpine meadows, and high-altitude plateaus. Rivers like the Ganges and Indus also flow through the Himalayas, creating further diverse landscapes.

The temperature of the Arctic varies widely because the Arctic is very large. In the summer, some continental locations can exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit, while also dropping well below zero in the winter. It drops below freezing in all locations during the winter, though it is even warm enough to rain at times in the winter.

mountains are formed through the movement of tectonic plates which form the earths crust, with the force from convection currents. as two plates move towards eachother, where they meet can be pushed up to form mountain ranges etc.

When water moves away from land, it is called low tide. This occurs when the gravitational forces of the moon and the sun cause the water levels to recede, exposing more of the shoreline.

Most of southern England is low lying agricultural land. Northern England is more rugged with moorland, some mountains and forests.

The continental margin is the submerged outer edge of a continent. It is generally divided into two sections: the continental shelf and the continental slope.

The smallest delta in the world is likely the Orinoco Delta in Venezuela, which is a vast area of sediment deposition that forms a network of waterways. It is characterized by low gradients and is shaped by the flow of the Orinoco River as it enters the Atlantic Ocean.

A large area of land that is level or that is slightly rolling is called a plain. Plains can occur in lowlands or at higher elevations on plateaus. As they are usually made of fertile soil, plains are very important for an area's agriculture.

A plateau is like a mountain that is cut short or flat on the top.

A plateau is defined as a land area having a relatively level surface considerably raised above adjoining land on at least one side. That is, it is table-like. The word comes from the Old French for a flat object; literally, plate.

Vancouver is a coastal city, being nearly surrounded by the Pacific ocean, so it's known for its bodies of water such as the Straight of Georgia west of the Burrard Peninsula. It also has one of the largest parks in North America, Stanley Park, containing many creeks, lagoons, and lakes.

While not exactly within Vancouver itself, the city is located in the Lower Mainland Ecoregion, bounded by the Coast Mountains and the Cascade Mountains crossed by the Fraser River.

(The great grassy plains are distributed throughout the world, this planet.

They flourish with great regularity in about the same latitude, it seems to me. But more the land and the movement of the earth beneath them.

They seem, their lives, to have to do with temperature. Perhaps, the waters and the moon speaks to the earth and 15000 years of constant temperature have laid Gaia to burgeon where she would.

Of course, the age of the tectonic plates and their stillness in time, lets, allows, permits, growth not yet to final succession.

But we adjust the air, and the plankton and the breezes over the land grass.

Hopefully, you'll get the chance to see the veldt, the savanna, the Great Plains and the other vast wavering grasslands of the planet....
