Why am i so dazed all the time and i cant concentrate?

Get some sleep and get interested in what you are learning.

You may have ADD, you can have a test to find out and you may be prescribed medication

How can you stay awake in school?

  1. Get enough sleep the night before - kids and teens need ten to twelve hours of sleep every night (most of them do not get enough)
  2. If you start feeling sleepy, take some deep breaths and get a good rush of oxygen to your brain (this is why you yawn)
  3. Between classes, stretch and get some exercise - run up and down the stairs or do jumping jacks or other exercises before you sit down
  4. Cut back on the junk food and sugar and sodas (also "energy drinks") because the energy they give you only lasts a few minutes, and then you feel even more tired than before!
  5. Caffeine works IF you drink small amounts at one time (eight-ounces, or 250 ml portion) and drink several cups over a few hours - coffee and tea are best because they don't have as much sugar as sodas!
  6. In extreme cases, ask your teacher (politely) if you can walk around the room a little bit so you will wake up - don't do this more than once or twice or they will think you're just trying to get out of working
  7. sit at the front
  8. listen hard to what the teacher is saying
  9. Try to ask and answer questions so you'll be more alert.

Here's how:
  • Get enough sleep! Kids and teens need 10-12 hours of sleep every night in order to feel alert and smart in school.
  • Eat the right foods! Stay away from junk food, because it gives you a "sugar rush" that will wear off after 15-20 minutes and then leave you feeling even more tired than before.
  • Stay away from "energy drinks!" First, they wear off after 15-20 minutes and leave you more tired than before -- even the "Five Hour" drinks will "drop" you once they wear off. Second, they have massive amounts of sugar, which is bad for you. Third, they are very hard on the stomach -- I've seen kids who developed ulcers from drinking too many of those things (I work in a pharmacy).
  • Exercise! Your body actually feels more alert right after you exercise than it does if you don't exercise at all -- this sounds backwards, but the body needs movement in order to function properly.
  • Breathe! Taking deep breaths helps get more oxygen to the brain, and makes you feel more alert -- this is why we yawn.
  • Drink a glass of water! I know, it sounds weird, but it does wake you up, especially if it's cold water.

More from our WikiReaders!

  • Get eough sleep
  • Eat a good breakfast, including coffee
  • Always do the assigned homework
  • Pay attention to your teacher- try to think along with the teacher.
  • Sit up near the front if you have a choice of seats.

How many ways can you learn vocabulary words?

You can learn about seven(7) words a day. Any more and you won't be able to remember them. Your brain can only receive five to seven words a day.

Answer

From my personal experience, 10 is a good number if you're cramming new words for the SAT or TOEFL test. Just remember to start accumulating words 3-4 months before the test. One month after the test day, you'll find yourself forgetting 40% of the words.

If you're learning in a long run, remember to learn at most 7 words per day, as the user above indicated. More and you'll definitely fail.

I used to learn 24 words per day (!) using flashcard, and after three months I amassed 2000 pieces of flashcards. Sadly only around 800-900 of them turned into a part of my vocabulary and ready to be used. The rest was useless. Hundreds of hours and papers were wasted for nothing.

How might developing good comunication skills help you in the future?

Communication means being able to give information to other people and to receive information from them. If you have good skills at this, you are able to do this effectively and efficiently, so you always make your point well and understand what the other person is trying to say to you.

This is an important skill, not only in business where you need to make yourself understood in order to be successful, but in your personal life, where it's important to maintain your relationships and make new ones.

Why is homework a waste of time?

if it is too hard, you should ask for help at school or home.

if you review regularly and look at your notes, homework will soon be a piece of cake.

make time for yourself during the daytime when you can focus on homework.

avoid having cellphones or ipods on while you study.

If homework is too hard for you then maybey you are sitting in the back of the class and not hearing the teacher, or talking too much. Try to see if you have any chance to move to the front of the class so you can memorize what the teacher is saying, take better notes, and get better grades. And If your are having trouble in any subject, go after school to a teacher to ask him/her a question, or if you are lucky, you will find someone willing to tutor you.
Homework is hard because sometimes of the amount given, but usually how the subject is hard itself. For example: If someone's weakpoint is math, then the homework for it will be very difficult for them.
Whats the point doing homework if its easy? Then your not thinking :)

What is the best way to study and remember spanish?

An excellent way to learn a language is to make your own flash cards or buy a set of flash cards. Making your own is probably better since cards you buy from the store may not have all of the appropriate vocabulary and verbs available. The great thing about flash cards is that you can study alone or with the help of someone else.

If there is any vocabulary in the chapter or chapters that you are unfamiliar with, then familiarize yourself with all words. (i.e know how to spell all nouns and verbs)

Make sure you know all the conjugations of the verbs that you will see on the test. (Again, flash cards are very helpful.) You may also want to pick up the latest copy of 501 spanish Verbs (an extremely useful tool).

Be prepared to answer any oral questions that may be asked.

Read any and all written material and make sure that you know what your teacher expects.

CFC12-Another way to do it is to do this: * First make a flashcard{for example: learning "hola"(hello)} * Write "hola" on one side and "hello" on the other * First say the word out loud * Then listen to someone else saying "hello" * Next look at a picture doing the word{Someone saying "hello" or waving a greeting} * Lastly say "hola" again I hope this technique helps!

Why you should not forget to bring your homework?

The best way is to write it down in a planner. If you are a big picture person, look at the entire month. If you worry about details, write down assignments AND what you did in each class for every day. I also find that it helps to keep one folder for homework-in-progress. That way, I can't forget papers at school or that there was homework in one class.

My homework is hard what should I do?

A lot of people have this problem. Mine is as well! There are several things that you can do to deal with this. You have several resources that can help you. Your teachers You can also talk to your teacher and tell him/her that you are having problems with your homework, maybe they can give you a little extra help. That is what they are there for. Your parents pay tax money so that they are there to teach you. If you are having issues, go ask them during class, before school, or after school. They should be able to help you. Your Friends/Classmates Maybe they understand it better than you do and can exlpain it in a different way than your teacher does. They might be able to help you with some problems. If you do ask a classmate, try to ask someone who gets a good grade in the class so they know what they are talking about. You don't want to listen to someone who is doing worse than you on the material and then get it wrong. Parent/Guardian I know it seems like they went to school centuries ago, but sometimes they will be able to help you with some of the material. The ancient history that you go over in history class is pretty much the same history you studied. The same goes for math. Your textbook/notes They are a valuable resource for you. Math textbooks have examples of how to solve the problems. Science textbooks have diagrams that show processes in visual form. The Internet/Nonfiction Books You can look for books or websites that explain things. These tutorials can prove very helpful.

Here are some good ways:

  • Read the words phonetically, sounding out each section. You might mis-pronounce something occasionally, but usually you will be more correct than if you just use dialect pronunciation
