He was charged with the assassination of John F. Kennedy but denied involvement in the killing, claiming he was a pasty. To be more specific, he was a Marine-trained individual who earned a Marksman level in the Marine Corps. As a marksman, he would be well above the average for a civilian.

No Lee did not want to be president, the only reason he shot JFK was to be famous he wanted his name to be in history books, he tried every thing to be famous but nothing worked.

He worked at the Texas School Book Depository warehouse where the shots were fired from. He was seen carrying a long thin package into the TSBD which he claimed were curtain rods. He was seen on the sixth floor of the TSBD 30 minutes before the assassination. A witness on the street saw the gun being fired from the sixth floor and gave a description of the gunman which matched Oswald. He left the building minutes after the assassination. He was the only person to leave the TSBD between the assassination and when the police surrounded the building.

He took off leaving behind prints, shells, his rifle, and the bag he carried it in. Every other employee in the building stayed. After a witness described him to the police, his description was radioed out. A Dallas Police officer named J. D. Tippet pulled over to question Oswald, and Oswald shot him to death. He then hid in a theater to avoid cop cars (without paying) and when the police arrived (he'd been spotted doing it), he tried to shoot them too. Killing cops is a really bad way of saying "I'm innocent", so he did indeed make a good suspect!

I presume you mean that theater in which he was apprehended after shooting President Kennedy. That was named the Texas Theatre. He was there in hopes of escaping the police and hiding out for a while. He made a big mistake by not buying a ticket, which resulted in a call to the police and his arrest. A ticket that would have cost about 25 cents would have allowed him to watch Aldo Ray in relative comfort while awaiting nightfall and a new escape plan. For an extra quarter he could have had an extra large popcorn with melted butter, a candy bar and a soda. "For want of a nail, the shoe was lost, for want of a shoe, the horse was lost, for want of a horse the battle was lost, ....."

No. That is just a tall tale told by a few cranks who don't like the CIA and so try to plug them into everything bad that happens. After all these years, not one shred of evidence has arisen that would even hint that Oswald had or needed any co-conspirators.

Oswald was arrested, but not for the assassination of the President. On November 22, 1963, about 45 minutes after the shooting at Dealey Plaza, Oswald had been stopped by Dallas police officer J.D. Tippit for questioning. He shot and killed the officer at point blank range.

Shortly thereafter, Oswald was arrested as the suspect in the shooting of the police officer. He was in possession of a .38 caliber revolver (which ballistics later matched to the bullet that killed Officer Tippit).

When Oswald was brought to the police station, a group of employees of the Texas School Book Depository were there giving their statements as witnesses to the shooting in Dealey Plaza. They knew Oswald and pointed him out to police. Following up information from these witnesses, Oswald was formally charged with assassinating President Kennedy.

Oswald was held for two days at Dallas Police Headquarters, at which time he was to be transported to the jail. As they were leaving police headquarters on November 24, Oswald was shot by Jack Ruby. Oswald never made it to the jail.

Though it is not known if Oswald's fingerprints were recovered from the Texas School Book Depository building, they would have been of no evidentiary value unless they were found on the weapon or ammunition known to have been used to assassinate President Kennedy. The reason for this is that Oswald worked in this building and there would have been numerous witnesses to testify to this fact, ergo creating his opportunity of being in the location from which the shot was fired, whcih his fingerprints being there would have otherwise proven if this were not the case.
