Theories that Oswald did not act alone don't really hold up to investigation. Oswald was a man who never fit in; no matter what he tried, he always ended up alienating himself from the "group". The likelihood that he could cooperate or coordinate this activity with another person or persons is very remote. He had the training, the skill, and the means to carry it out all by himself. Most of all, after all of his failures, he had the motivation to make this grand gesture to show the world that he had what it takes.

If Oswald's second shot, which came out his neck, had not killed him, the third shot certainly did, as it took out perhaps a third of his brain, spraying it forward and to the right. When his brain was exploded, the "circuitry" that held the pattern "John F. Kennedy" was obliterated.

Technically - John Fitzgerald Kennedy died from hypoxia - or lack of oxygen to the brain. The last shot that tore his scalp open (the reason that Jackie crawled out of the convertable becasue she saw and retrieved a small piece of Kennedy's skull) was not the most serious shot - it was the first shot that entered his upper back - went through his spinal chord and exited the knot in his tie. However the President died from the wound to his brain - as his brain was unable to promote oxygen to itself. However the cause of the hypoxia was a gunshot wound to the head. To be exact - all humans can ONLY die from hypoxia - when your brain simply stops working due to lack of oxygen. But there is always a cause for hypoxia that is used as the single determining cause of death. And death is defined as the complete and total lack of health.

The answer is difficult, and requires some knowledge of the case, to truly appreciate the importance of the matter, as the true perpetrators and their heirs in power have had enough influence to drastically change the course of history. Kennedy's death, for example, slowed down efforts to thaw the Cold War and allowed the Vietnam Conflict, which Kennedy was planning to wind down, to erupt into a full-blown war profitable to the military-industrial complex, while devastating to the average American. You need to know that Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested and charged with the murder of President John F. Kennedy (d. Nov. 22, 1963) before 24 hours passed. Oswald insisted he was innocent. Oswald's own murder occurred on Nov. 24, when he was being transferred to another jail, at the hands of a Dallas nightclub owner and known police fixer for Mafia Don Carlos Marcello of New Orleans -- Jack Ruby -- who later stated that persons in "high positions" were responsible( see YouTube excerpt). Information from new witnesses, such as Judyth Vary Baker, and new records, such as those found by Jefferson Morely regarding Oswald's probably being involved with the CIA, as well as fresh evidence from Lt. Col. Dan Marvin (Ret.) who was asked by the CIA to murder a witness who had films showing the faking of autopsy findings on President Kennedy, need to be placed in the public record. In addition, several persons, most notably mafia hitman James Files, have confessed to being involved directly in Kennedy's murder, yet have never been properly investigated. In fact, these witnesses and their statements/ confessions have been officially ignored. Media efforts come forth annually to prove a "magic bullet" killed Kennedy without any damage to itself, going through two persons and smashing hard bone in the process, ignoring the Zapruder film showing Kennedy's head thrown violently backwards, just as a spurt of light can be seen emerging from the area of the Grassy Knoll. Several witnesses said they smelled gunpowder. Since the wind was blowing hard toward the building where Oswald was located, behind JFK, gunpowder smell likely would not have come from the building. However, the smell of gunpowder was reported at the Grassy Knoll. Films show many people running up the Grassy Knoll in search of the assassin. Obviously faked autopsy photos of Kennedy's skull, and many other factors, point toward the need for opening a new, unbiased investigation into the matter, before witnesses such as Baker, Marvin, and Files are dead. All three have expressed willingness to testify before Congress, and supporting witnesses have also stated their willingness to stand with them. Official records will not be released before they are, most likely, deceased -- and such records may not reveal the truth, anyway. However, if enough petitions are presented, signed by enough people, they might have enough impact. Several groups are sponsoring such petitions. Look for them on the Internet. It may be too late for justice for Kennedy, but it is not too late for the truth. No history book or website should identify Oswald as "the assassin." "Accused assassin" is preferred, being more accurate. Oswald never went to trial. Marina Oswald, his wife, now believes that her husband was innocent. Marina stated many things out of fear that she would be deported. Witnesses who did speak out, such as dallas Police Officer Roger Craig, had their lives ruined or were actually murdered. Baker had to seek political asylum due to harrassment, and Col. Dan Marvin had to defend himself in a financially ruinous trial, from which he emerged the (now penniless) victor, justified. An examination of the history behind Oswald's Minox spy camera, the infamous "backyard photos" and how Oswald was placed in lineups, unshaven, beaten, and wearing a ripped shirt, alongside three men from the Dallas police department workforce wearing nice clothes with ties and jackets, should start to open your eyes. If you are interested in bringing these new witnesses, and the new evidence, before Congress, contact those groups collecting signatures. Dan Marvin), "On the Trail of the Assasssins" (Jim Garrison) and "Dr. Mary's Monkey" (Edward Haslam) to learn more details, and then do what you can do to help open a new Congressional investigation into "THE Crime of the (20th) Century." If enough people make enough squeaks, the squeaky wheel may get oiled. President Kennedy has been assassinated twice over: this slain president has no official government monument, no true memorial, created by the country he died for. One must ask why this has been neglected, and why the many records and pieces of evidence uncovered by the ARRB committee and researchers have not sparked an urgent and immediate cry for a new investigation, based on these living witnesses who now stand forth, and the stacks of new information and evidence pointing to Oswald's activities in New Orleans and Dallas that indicate he was penetrating an assassination ring, and had to be silnced at any cost. He was indeed silenced --with a mafia man's bullet--the first murder ever shown on television. "The truth will set you free." Your action will answer this question.

A few people claimed he was seen on the 6th floor a while before the shooting carrying what he allegedly said was "curtain rods" wrapped in a blanket. But a police officer who ran into the building immediately after the shooting, said he found and briefly spoke with Oswald in a lunch room several floors below. Oswald identified himself, and was drinking a soda. The officer said Oswald was calm, collected, and not out of breath as someone would be who had just run down the stairs from the 6th floor to that area of the building.

It might have had something to do with him defecting to the Soviet Union (resulting in his discharge from the Marines being changed to from "Honorable/Hardship" to "Dishonorable") and assassinating the President.

All the physical evidence (weapons, prints, bullets and fragments) were tied to Oswald and no one else. No evidence was found to support the idea that Oswald needed or had any co-conspirators. He simply appears to have wanted to be famous, and nothing else he'd ever tried, worked. Including, I might add, a previous attempt to assassinate a celebrity (he was not tied to this until after the police found the evidence in his home after JFK's death).
