What is a mint Lincoln mark vii worth?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

That's kinda tough to answer without knowing more information like Miles, year, options,

Special Edition's are worth more especially 1990 grey special Edition's because they are rare.

Generally the lower the miles the more it can be worth because it would be less worn and usually in better condition. Hope this helps

Are there lowering springs on a Lincoln Mark VII?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

there is a coil spring conversion made by Arnott, i have it on my 91 LSC SE and the ride is so much better, i would check out Eibach, Tein, and other spring companies, as well as cross reference parts from a thunderbird/cougar/mustang of the same year range There are ride height adjusters under the front and rear of the car to lower the car all you need to do is adjust these and you can drop it at least a couple inches. only make sure car is supported by jack stands when doing so.

Why does the front air ride suspension go down on an 1989 lincoln vii?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

There are a few things that could be wrong. 1- It could be the computer located in the trunk behind where the switch is for shutting the air ride off. 2- A leak in one of the lines or the bags. 3- The compressor is bad. 4- A bad air bag solenoid. 5- A bad height sensor.

The Air Ride system can be scanned for trouble codes too that can help you better diagnose the system. Also there is a Club you can join and get a lot of help from them too, go to: " thelincolnmarkviiclub.org "

What is the Loud sound under dash of Lincoln mark vii?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

If the car has been sitting for awhile maybe the heater fan has a mouse nest in it. Not much info to go by . Does it get louder when fan gets turned to hi ? Could it be a hissing sound from one of the vacuum hoses being off ? Does it change at all when climate control unit is turned off? Message me and I can try to help you further.

Mark 7 Heaven

good points, but there is no vacuum on the climate controls, just electronic servos. If you do hear a vacuum leak, the only source i know would be the parking brake line.

How do you take the transmission out of a 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

First you take out the driveshaft, then take out the starter "make sure to unhook the negitve battery cable" then take out the exshaust from the manifolds back. "i found it easy to take this out in 1 piece" Then unhook the shift linkage and electical plugs. use a tranny jack or floor jack with a wood block to slightly take some weight off the tranny, then take out the crossmember. then take off the tourque converter inspection plate. then tale off the four tourque converter bolts. then take out the six engine to tranny bolts and pull her out. On my 93 I had to remove the gas tank. But it wasn't bad, just four bolts lower it down and undo the filler tubes and fuel supply but be carful not to brake the clips on them. And also, there's a u shaped bar and shroud that goes bellow the drive shaft, it goes one way so make sure you put it on right or it while rub.

How do you remove the airbags on a 1991 Lincoln Mark VII LSC?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The ~safety~ air bag on a 1991 should not be serviced by the vehicle owner. Replacement suspension air bags (springs) come with complete instructions (Arnott, StrutMasters, etc). The seller/manufacturer should gladly provide the buyer with a set even BEFORE purchasing the product. This is in their best interest to show you juyst how easy it is to install their product. If not, I'd move on to the next seller/manufacturer. Jack up your car, get to the air bag, turn the solenoid with vise grips, once the air is out turn the "fat" part at the top to unlock it. its kinda like your power steering cap on your car... it fits into place and turns to lock in. Now at the bottom of your a-arm remove the clip around the little stub that you see. kinda like a cotter pin... But like they said go to strutmasters.com and get some springs!!! 219.00 with shipping included and all instructions also. Hey also visit www.lincolnsonline.com

You just changed the alternator on a 90 LSC you are having trouble getting the belt tensioner back on Is there a trick?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

im going on the assumption that you are referring to the belt back on the tensioner cause there is no reason to remove the tensioner to install an alt. if it is a matter of putting the belt on, make sure that the belt is routed correctly through the pulleys. then remove the belt off the alternator, put the belt on the tensioner THEN pull the tensioner back with a wrench on the tensoiner adjusting nut. slip the belt on the alternator and slowly release the wrench. i hope this was helpful
