What type of font is used at the Lincoln memorial?
As a life long graphic artist, I can say for certain, the closest readily accessible font that can be purchased on many font web pages is called Trajan Pro (named after Roman Emporer, Trajan). That said, however, I came to this page searching for the difinitive typeface used because there are some subtle, yet significant differences between Trajan Pro and the memorial typeface. Namely, the W in the memorial font has center bars that cross, forming a miniature 'x' if you will. I am still searching the answer whether Trajan Pro was modeled after it, or vise-versa. Likely, (I must speculate) some custom lettering is involved in the memorial text. The other scenario is Trajan Pro could have been designed based on a previously designed typeface and simplified to avoid any copyright infringements or simply to make it more compatible for use as a digital font for computer use. If I finally come to any conclusions, I will return to edit/add to this post.
Did Abraham Lincoln get to see lots of people?
Yes mostly in heaven. Other than that how did you like the play Mrs. Lincoln?
As I understand it, Lincoln was having several photographs made in a studio, in several different poses, and an assistant to the photographer mistakenly combed/recombed Lincoln's hair with the part on the right, rather than on the left, as he normally wore it.
As luck would have it, the artist who created the portrait for the Lincoln penny, in 1909, Victor David Brenner, used the photograph that had the part on the wrong side. (I believe I read this in Carl Sandburg's biography of Lincoln, though I would not swear to it...) Apparently, whoever designed the five dollar bill messed up...
What did Lincoln did to have a Lincoln Memorial?
The Lincoln Memorial is an American memorial built to honor the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. It is located on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The architect was Henry Bacon, the sculptor of the main statue (Abraham Lincoln, 1920) was Daniel Chester French, and the painter of the interior murals was Jules Guerin. It is one of several monuments built to honor an American president.
The building is in the form of a Greek Doric temple and contains a large seated sculpture of Abraham Lincoln and inscriptions of two well-known speeches by Lincoln, The Gettysburg Address and his Second Inaugural Address. The memorial has been the site of many famous speeches, including Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech, delivered on August 28, 1963 during the rally at the end of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
Like other monuments on the National Mall - including the nearby Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, and National World War II Memorial - the memorial is administered by the National Park Service under its National Mall and Memorial Parks group. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since October 15, 1966. It is open to the public 24 hours a day. In 2007, it was ranked seventh on the List of America's Favorite Architecture by the American Institute of Architects.

Lincoln's Gettysburg Address and his second inaugural speech
Why are the fasces on the Lincoln Memorial statue not depicted with axes?
The axes were taken out of the fasces whenever fasces were brought into the city of Rome, as a symbol that the rights of the citizens were superior to the authority of the state. Presumably, then, the absence of the axes symbolizes that Lincoln upheld the rights of citizens over the authority of the state, i.e., the emancipation of slaves.

The Lincoln Memorial design was introduced in 1959, to honor the 150th anniversary of Lincoln's birth.
The Memorial design was used until 2008. In 2009, four special designs were issued for the Lincoln bicentennial. Starting in 2010, all cents carry a Union shield on the reverse side.
What are the years the Lincoln memorial penny was printed with p s and d stamp?
Made from 1959 to present, however you can only get the "s" mint mark in proof set now. Cents don't now and have never had a P mint mark. They're currently the only denomination made in Philadelphia without a mint mark. Lincoln memorial cents have been struck at Denver every year since 1959.
San Francisco also made cents for circulation from 1968 to 1974. These turn up in change once in a while but don't have any extra value unless they're in nearly-new condition. BTW, coins are said to be struck or minted, not "stamped", and the word "printed" applies to things made with paper and ink like dollar bills.
