To install Apple's Mac OS X you agree to only use it on hardware built by Apple and so it is illegal to use it on other platforms.

You need OS X 10.5 or later to install uTorrent.

The official name is "spinning wait cursor" but it is often referred to as "spinning wheel of death", "beach ball of death" or "spinning pizza". I believe, being a user of both operating systems, that they each have their applications.

Speaking basically, if you play more video games a PC will almost always be a better choice. In my opinion a PC is also a better choice for playing a variety of video formats.

Otherwise, I use my Mac (Apple) for everything else. Being that the operating system (OSX) is very stable and reliable, and you can find open source or OSX alternatives for almost everything.

Sometimes iTunes gets confused and cannot remember where your songs are so you need to give it a guiding hand.

Quit the iTunes software before you start.

Your songs are stored (in Mac OS X and Windows 7) in a folder called iTunes within your Music folder (in earlier versions of Windows it will be in My Music within the My Documents folder). In that iTunes folder find the file called iTunes Library and drag it out onto your desktop.

Go back into the iTunes folder and find another folder called Previous iTunes Libraries. In there find the latest version (it will be called iTunes Library Year-Month-Day) and drag that out into the main iTunes folder to replace the old iTunes Library file you removed.

Rename your new file iTunes Library (by removing the date part) and then relaunch the iTunes software and it should now be able to find your songs again.

Enter your Optimum ID in the User Name field. (Your Optimum ID is the part of your e-mail address to the left of the "@" sign, for example: jsmith.)

Restart and hold the C key until the Mac has found and started to boot from the disc. This will be longer than booting from a hard disc but should not be more than a minute or thereabouts.
