Photoshop is expensive by they too have a free website version in Photoshop Express. If you need/want more features downloading GIMP is a great options. Still free, but you have to download the software. There are also free tools to add text blurbs, to make collages, to put your photo into other images. There are a number of tools that allow you to put the image of a face into other photos for some fun creations.

*I have one of these machines still running strong (eMAC 17, to be precise) However, one foundational concept I've applied in my life is to virtually NEVER upgrade the OS from the one that comes with the machine. Yes, Apple Stopped supporting SARFARI on OSX10.3.9 and I had Opera for a while, then the upgrade wouldn't run, and CAMINO 1.6 for quite a while -with the modern internet it has limited functionality. The computer itself works fine- and no problems with the hard drive or DVD burner (yet), I occasionally hook up a USB Piano style keyboard and open up Garage Band to attempt to learn how to play (I'm just past CHOP-STICKS), this MAC has great speakers built into it, and apparently was made much better than some of our MAC Laptops that have DIED prematurely (to me, anything less than 10 years is PREMATURE).

Look at what output port you have. It could be DVI, Mini DVI, Micro DVI, or other. The Apple store website should help you decide. Then decide what connection to the TV you want. For RCA cables (like a playstation uses), Svideo or others, though those are the most common. I use a Mini-DVI (from my white apple Macbook, though the new aluminum ones are MicroDVI) to RCA connector, then plug an RCA cable from the connector to my TV. This only handles the video. Sound is seperate, I use a cable that plugs into my headphones jack and outputs RCA. It may be a good idea to talk to someone at your local apple store.
