I can totally answer this question for you. I currently have Macbook Pro,2.16G,Intel Core 2 Duo running 4G of RAM. As someone who has used both adapters, the breakdown goes like this:

The 60w Magsafe adapters are for the Macbooks, the 85w for Macbook Pro. Both are interchangeable. Therefore, a 60w can power a Macbook Pro as well as an 85w can power a Macbook the second they're plugged in.

HOWEVER, if you plug a 60w adapter into a MBP, while it will charge and can be used when plugged in, there's a small catch. To be more precise, the MBP is still usable and the battery will charge just a bit slower than if using the 85w. Why is this,you might be asking? Because the Macbook Pro draws more juice than the Macbook and it's drawing power from a lower watt adapter, hence the need for the 85w. You may see your charge reach and hold between 96% to 99%. If you close it,go in sleep mode or shut it down entirely, that usually charges it to a full 100%.

So yes,you can use either adapter for both. The only thing to keep in mind is if you have a Macbook Pro and are using the 60w,you could risk (in time) overheating your computer as well as doing damage to your battery. The Intel chip is smart enough to stop taking in power to charge but the actual adapter IS NOT. It will still continue sending that current to your machine when in use. Now,you're just slowing cooking your laptop. Will any serious damage happen is you're not using the appropriate adapter? Not really but there have been some a few cases out there of people's machines suddenly shutting down due to overheating and battery health going a bit faster than normal. When I switched from a 60w for my MBP to the 85w, I noticed my machine didn't get nearly as hot and my battery life/cycle actually GOT BETTER (about 7% increase) due to having the proper voltage.

If you have a regular Macbook,either one,supposedly,will be fine. A Macbook Pro,you'll still be OK but keep in mind of the potential quirks when using a lower wattage adapter.

M4V and MP4 are 'containers' for audio and video files. They are basically the same, but QuickTime and iTunes can both open the MP4 if it contains audio or video files that follow the common formats. If an audio or video file uses unuwual compression, it may fail to open in QuickTime or iTunes.

There are 'tools' which will allow QuickTime and iT to work with more file types.

Install Perian and Flip4Mac, as well as MPEG Streamclip to enable a wide variety of audio and video formats.

Pages does not support exporting as a TIFF. If a TIFF file is essential then you can export as a PDF from Pages, open the PDF in Preview and Save As... a TIFF from Preview.

The Pro is about half a pound heavier than the air.

In the end it is the software that matters.

Macs OS X contains "Core" technologies that pass common imaging tasks on to the GPU, which makes working with movies, photos and music much easier and faster. Applications can easily make use of these Core technologies through Apple's APIs. Mac hardware has traditionally been better and faster than PC hardware because it used stuff like scsi buses for the hard disks and peripherals. So, when it came to handling the large amounts of data in quality photographs, images and movies, MACs were better at this. This may not be the case now hardware wise. You will probably spend the same for MAc or PC hardware. The writers of software for MACs also had the advantage that they were writing for a limited number of known hardware combinations that were thouroughly tested, so their software gave less trouble. Whereas, that freedom to mix and match PC hardware caused a headache to PC software writers and often lead to unreliable editing machines. If you want a machine for producing income, then purchasing a MAC and Mac software makes enormous sense. However, if you are just starting to learn, far better to go with the more economical machine. Once you played with your first editing computer, you will better know what you do and do not need in your next editing computer, MAC or PC.

Complicated searches can be performed by the Finder.

Click on the Finder icon in the Dock. The default window will open. In Mountain Lion, the default is "All my Files." This can be set in Finder Prefs.
