go into your multimedia files and check if it says memory card anywhwere on the list and also look carefully at the top of your screen there may be an icon that shows that a memeory card has been inserted, this only applys to some phones tho, but try tat anyway, =)

I currently use a Strontium 2GB & 4 GB SDHC card. Both are Class4. I bought this for my Nikon camera and the camera manual says to use class 6 for HD video, but I've had no problem with class4 cards. Also, I would also not recommend going for bigger than an 8 GB memory card because there might be chances of loosing data while transferring. As far as prices are concerned, I can only advise you to shop for Strontium memory cards because they sell these memory cards at very low prices as compare to other brands.

It depends. Could it be we are talking about the memory card in a digital camera? Generally with the cameras I have used, when pictures are selected to put on to your computer they are not erased from the memory card. If you want them to be (I usually do because I don't want to have to go through the camera itself and delete old pictures one at a time when I need more memory) you can plug in your camera with a cable to your device, go to Computer (on a Windows computer) click the icon for your camera, find the folder where your pictures are stored, highlight them all (Using Control+A if you wish) and then right click on one of the images while they're all highlighted and select "cut" and then go to the folder on your computer you want and right click and slect "paste." Alternately, a safer way (in case something goes wrong with the file transfer) is to highlight the pictures listed in your camera's folder, right click, select "copy" and then go to your computer to the appropriate folder, right click, and select "paste." Then once the transfer is complete and you're sure the images open up and display okay you can return to the other folder with the images on your camera and push "delete."

If you are using it with the SD adaptor, the swith at the side marked lock is not to secure the micro sd card within the adaptor. This is the write protection. If you set this to the 'unlocked' position (up) then you should be able to write files onto it! very good thanks

I think I am answering this correctly. Memory is also called RAM or DDRAM, SDRAM etc. 512MB of memory is 512MB of memory. If you check the back of your software cases you will notice that it gives you the system minimum and recommended for memory required. Example windows 7 recommends 1GB of system memory minimum to install and run.

Yes a SD Card is the same as a SIM Card because they both hold memory and back in 2008 - 2010 they used SIM Cards without a SIM Card the phones could not hold memory. Now of days (2010 - 2012) we use SD Cards for holding memory iin our smart phones.

If you are using a laptop computer with an inbuilt card reader, just insert your SD card & you will be able to see the card memory in your 'My Computer'.
