On some motherboards, when the CPU temperature gets too high, it will automatically reboot the system in hopes of cooling the chip and the associated hardware. This is not a normal occurrence though - if your PC is rebooting automatically, something is wrong with the fans inside your PC case. Check to see if one of the fans aren't turning on or is running too slow. Make sure that dust has not piled up on the board or heat sync.

If the fans are working fine, and there is not dust, then try adding some extra thermal grease to the CPU. You can get a tube of it for a dollar or less on ebay. Just open up the PC, remove the Heat Sync, and carefully apply a small amount of the paste to the top of the CPU. There should be some fairly dry paste already on the CPU. You can leave it there, or replace it. If a small amount gets out on to the board, it will probably be fine, but try to avoid this if you can. Remember that when you latch down the heat sync, it will try to squeeze out the thermal grease, so only use a little. Now carefully put back the heat sync, and close up the PC again.

The fans will affect that. My mom's laptop did that and all it was was a dust buildup on the fan and most processors nowadays have a thermal sensor and when it gets too hot it shuts the computer down to try and prevent the processor from dying. It could also happen because the processor IS dying and needs replacing

There may be a program that turns on automatically when you start up windows 98. Go to the start button, run and type in Msconfig. When the box opens look for the tab that says "Start-up" then click on it, uncheck anything that you do not want to start-up when you turn your computer on. It is safe to uncheck all options that are check under the Start-up tab only if the computer truly needs the program to work it'll turn on automatically again.

You have to first enable the quick bar. Once this is enabled you can put icons next to the start button. Right click on the task bar, select properties and look for the option that enable quick bar

If you are referring to the screen occupying less of the monitor screen, you probably inadvertently hit the button on the top right. There's usually 3 boxes at the top: one with what looks like an underline, one that has what looks like 2 tiny boxes in it, and one that is usually red with an X in it.

The one that looks like an underline is the one that you press when you want to hide a site. Click on that button and you notice that it flies to the bottom of the screen and just stays there. When you want it again, hit that again and it blows up into normal size on your screen.

The one that looks like 2 tiny boxes is that one that you want to click on. If your work screen is small but you can still read it, look at the top right and you'll notice that those 2 tiny boxes became an empty box. Click on it and it should blow up in size. Play with those buttons and get to know them.

Of course, you know that the red box is for, the one with the X, don't you?

If you're referring to the print, graphics, boxes, etc., on your page just being small and hard to read, then go to the top left and click view, and click zoom and find you a comfortable size. As you get bigger, look at the bottom of your screen and you'll notice a slide bar. Whatever is hidden on the screen can be brought back onto the screen but moving the slide bar.

If you have a newer version of Messenger, the uninstallation is located in the Windows Live Essential pack. You can choose to uninstall it but only remove the messenger in the uninstall wizard.

Most towers don't have the specific slot necessary to directly input your micro SD card into your computer. UNDF is an undefined file. This may be because it is corrupted, or it is still in the process of being downloaded, and therefore vital information is missing. It is not a file type.

Another reason that the file is not playing, is that the media player used does not have the suitable codec for it. Try using other players (the one that does the trick when VLC says that the file is undf, is SM PLAYER)

In Event Viewer, under Custom Views select the Administrative Events log. It shows only error events and warnings.
