What is word processing in excel?

Excel is not a word processor. There are lots of things in it that a word processor has, like a spell checker, text formatting, alignment and other things. If you really wanted to, you could use it to type a letter, but that is not what it is for. It is not ideal for doing it. It would be more awkward to write a letter in it than it would be to use an actual word processor. So you would use a word processor to type letters and do spreadsheets in Excel.

To place a blank line in a document what key must press with out typing any text on the line?

The Enter key, or return key.

The above will insert a blank PARAGRAPH not a line.

The "line feed, carriage return" as it was call in the old days is obtained in Microsoft Word with Shift + Enter (to get a completely empty line in the middle of a paragraph you will need two of these after each other).

My suggestion to anyone using a word processor is alwaysto show all "non printing" characters. This way you see what you are doing and get an understanding for why the word processor is doing what it does.

There is a world of difference between line break (Shift + Enter) and a paragraph break (Enter).

To show all non printing characters in Microsoft Word there is often button with the paragraph mark ( ¶ ). Have it pressed in and you will see all the spaces as dots between words (there never should be more than one at a time). All the Paragraph breaks (there never should be more than one of these in succession either) all the line breaks (same here only one unless some extraordinary thing is going there) tab characters (you guessed it only one for each column definition), etc.

If you want space between your paragraphs you get that with style formatting.

What is cut and paste copying?

It means that instead of typing in a full body of text manually, the person used the functionality of the computer to copy an already existing body of text with the same content and applied it to the field in which it applies. To do it, hold down the left mouse button as you move the cursor over the desired text. It will become highlighted in blue. Once all the desired text is highlighted, right click in the blue area and select the option "copy". Now this text is saved on your clipboard. Next, right click in the field you want the text to appear in and select "paste". That's it.

How do you put a word and turn it into reverse alphabetical order?

To place words in alphabetical order:

  • Look at the first letter and put the words in groups of a, b, c, d, etc. [Ex: apple, box, city, door]
  • Take the A group and look at the second letter. Group accordingly. [Ex: Aaron, Albert, Amy, Axel]
  • Organize each group into abc order until you can do no more.

If your list is on Microsoft Excel, all you have to do is put one word in each cell of a column. Highlight and then click on the A-Z icon at the top of the page. This will give you an instant alphabetical order.

What does Ctrl Alt and shift do?

Ctrl and Alt are what are known as modifier keys. By themselves, or pressed together, they will do nothing. Their purpose is to change the action of another key to perform a different task. For example, the Delete key is usually used to delete a selection of text from a document. When pressed together with Ctrl and Alt, however, they trigger a keyboard interrupt to either reboot the computer or invoke a task manager on an operating system.

How do you password protect the folders in your documents?

In my opinion, you need a tool. There are a lot of good password protection tools. You can search "password protect folder" or "lock folder" etc. to find a proper one for yourself. Usually there are two types of encryption methods:

1. Create one password for whole your disk and drag all folders and files to this disk to protect them. This only asks you to set one password for all of them. But if you want to set separate passwords to protect different folder or files, this kind of software will not help you.

2. Create one password for every folder. You can drag files to one folder and set a password for this folder. This will fix the above trouble, that you can set uniform password for different kinds of files. The disadvantage is you must remember a list of passwords.
