min pins are great for small homes especially if you have an apartment i just got a min pin and he loves where we live the only thing is that you have to make sure that you dont keep them locked in the house all the time because they love to be curious and by you keeping them locked in the house for a long period of time you are taking that away from them also if you know that you are going to be gone for a long period of time make sure to have lots of toys for them they love squeaky toys and things that roll i would really suggest getting him or her a tennis ball because to watch them amuse themselves with it is great for them but at the same time it is great for you lol the are very loving dogs and have a good nature well hope that you decide to get one

Both! I have a 9-year-old min pin... he's a couch potato while indoors and an explorer while outside. Min Pins are very curious, social dogs. They will be your neighborhood watch, if given access to a window; they will be the escape artist you never knew existed, they love to be chased and mine thinks that running away is a great game. They are great cuddle-rs too! Since min pins are naturally lean with short hair, its important to keep them in a relatively mild climate. If you have a well-fenced yard, most min pins can be left alone to explorer the yard all day. I don't recommend leaving a min pin inside the house by themselves too long, the will get into everything within reach!! Mine went through the dirty clothes basket and ate up everyone's underwear and socks :(

All in all, i wouldn't trade my min pin for anything in the world.

There are no studies to show that garlic is effective as a dewormer. Puppies are extremely susceptible to GI parasites and these parasites can be deadly, so deworming with a known effective product is recommended.

I own and used to breed min pins so know the answer to this very well. Tails and dewclaws should be done no later than 3 days old. If it hasn't been done and your dog is older, check with your vet. It may be too late. You also need to ask yourself why you want the tail docked and if it is that important to you, why did you get a dog that's tail is not docked? Ideally it should be done at 3 mos. However I have personally had a Min Pins ears cropped as late as 1.5 years of age and they stood fine. I owned a Min Pin in the 1960s and his tail at 6 weeks was already cropped. I didn't have his ears done simply because I don't believe in this cruel fashion and no one can say it isn't cruel. It's all in the name of the breeder and showing off the dog. How would you like your tail bone cropped and your ears cropped, stitched and dipped in brandy?

Minerature Pinchers and Manchester Terriers are intirely different breeds with the MT being very much the older of the two. MinPins have a very level back with a forward set front assembly which is what gives them the 'hackney' gait that is a hall mark of the breed. Min Pins go into heat twice a year. The heat will last between 2 and 4 weeks, 3 weeks being the average. Min Pins bleed very little, but covering the sofa and the beds with sheets is recommended, sofas can be hard to fit into the washing machine! Min Pins will mate with large dogs, and this can be a problem, as the puppies can develop to be too large for her to birth.
