Why do people think modern Christianity and Mormonism is a perversion and an abomination?
Actually I see what you mean. But let's put it this way to better reflect 'accuracy':
"Modern PSEUDO-Christianity could be viewed as a perversion and an abomination." Anyone can 'call' themselves 'Christian', that does not necessarily make them such. We might call them 'self-proclaimed' Christians.
Even Jesus said of them: "I do not know them. Get away from me . . . ." (Matt 7:21-23) Apparently even though they did things 'in Christ's name', including some powerful works in Christ's name; Jesus did not recognize them as his true followers. Perhaps he also felt they were a perversion and an abomination of what he truly represents.
But 'TRUE' Christianity would be different. True Christianity reflects accurately their leader Christ Jesus.
It's every persons responsibility to search for 'true' Christians. They CAN be found. Christ would not leave the world without any. Otherwise he would be a very weak Christ, if he had no true followers to represent him.
Christ himself gave a criterion of what to look for in John 13:35. Jesus said they would be easily recognized by that criterion. Jesus said that "all * would * know". The reality is that ALL people DO KNOW who they are. They may not like the answer - - but they KNOW. Jesus said so.
(I include no comments about the specific group you singled out. I know some very nice members of that group.)
How are Mormons supposed to procreate with special garments on at all times?
The same way people who wear underwear all the time do, they take them off. Yes, Mormons do it too.
Although some have been known to attempt to do so while wearing garments, I believe it is not the mainstream practice.
There are times when the more 'proper' thing to do is to remove the garment temporarily, such as in showering, swimming and competing athletically in public, etc.
When did Mormon missionaries first go to Switzerland?
From the LDS.org newsroom statistics and history:
"Missionary work for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints began in Switzerland on November 24, 1850. A Church publication, the Millennial Star, reported that 20 converts were baptized in 1851, cut many Church members emigrated to America up until the 1950s.
Today members total approximately 7,000, with many coming from second, third, and fourth generations of Church members in Switzerland. Forty congregations meet in 27 meetinghouses."
Why did the Mormons ever practice polygamy when Jacob chapter 2 verse 24 condemns it?
Because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (commonly called "Mormons") is founded on modern revelation given through a modern prophet.
Previous Church President Ezra Taft Benson once said, "the living prophet is more vital to us than the standard works" (meaning the 4 books Mormons use as scripture). He also said "The most important prophet, so far as we are concerned, is the one who is living in our day and age... Therefore, the most crucial reading and pondering which you should do is of the latest inspired words from the Lord's mouthpiece."
The revelation given to Joseph Smith now contained in Doctrine and Covenants 132:58-66, then, in a way, overrides the words given to Jacob in the Book of Mormon, and the revelation given to Wilford Woodruff (now Official Declaration 1) overrides the words given to Joseph Smith.
Can Mormon women were headbands with bows on the side?
Sure, if they want. Women in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) can wear whatever they want, but are encouraged to dress modestly as a sign of reverence to their bodies. Modesty guidelines in the church include avoiding sleeveless tops, avoiding showing the cleavage or midriff, and always wearing pants or skirts that reach to the knee or lower. There are no guidelines or suggestions about headbands, hats, etc. Headbands with bows and flowers on them are quite popular right now and Mormon women and teens have adopted the trend.
The only exception might be female Mormon missionaries, who have much more strict dress guidelines. They can typically wear a small headband but nothing with a large bow or flower on it.
Why were the christian diciples given the ability to speak many languages?
Though the term disciple does mean someone who believes and helps to spread the doctrine of another, it is used mainly to describe any follower of Christ. Those who received the Gift of Tongues applies mainly to the Twelve Apostles. It is they who were commanded to do go and preach Christs words, in doing so were given the Gift of Tongues.
One must also remember that some of those who listened to the Apostles preach were given the gift to hear in their own language what the Apostles preached, though they did so in their own tongue.
Are there three levels in the celestial kingdom?
Yes, but we know very little about them. We know that the highest includes those who are exalted to Godhood and are required to have been married or sealed in the temple, and those in the other levels will serve as ministering angels and teach those in the Terrestrial Kingdom.

Is the mormon church connected with sutter health?
No. the Church of Jesus christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) is not associated with any healthcare organizations. The hospitals which were founded and operated by the Church for many years (LDS Hospital and Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah) were sold to Intermountain Healthcare in the 1970's.
Sutter Health is not owned or operated by any religious organization.
Not familiar with any individual, Mormon or otherwise, with that name. It's a fairly common one, though.
Is book of Mormon a masonic book?
No. Anyone familiar with Masonry who reads the Book of Mormon would find no correlation. The Book of Mormon is similar to the Bible and is considered by Mormons as another testament of Jesus Christ, to be used side-by-side with the Bible.

Who built the temple square in Utah?
Temple Square has been built and remodeled over time, but it was built by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Brigham Young selected the site a few days after the Mormon Pioneers arrived in the area, in July 1847. Since then buildings have been built and torn down, all centered around the temple.
The Temple, which is the center of the square, took over 40 years to build (completed in 1893). It's construction was begun by Brigham Young, but it was not completed until Wilford Woodruff was President of the Church.
The Tabernacle, where the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sings, was constructed in the 1860's, its construction was overseen by Brigham Young. It replaced a temporary Bowery, which was used to hold large meetings.
The Endowment House was built under the direction of Brigham Young used as a "temporary temple" from 1855 until Wilford Woodruff ordered it's destruction in 1889.
The Assembly hall replaced what was called the "Old Tabernacle" and was built in 1882 under the direction of John Taylor.
The Beaurau of Information Building and the observatory were replaced by two Visitors Centers in the mid 19th century, The Hotel Utah was remodeled to become the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in the 1990's, which holds offices, ballrooms, restauraunts, and a theatre. Additional buildings, such as the family history library, the church history and art museum, the conference center (dedicated in 2000), the relief society building and the church office building, were added later by subsequent church presidents. The most recent addition is the church history and archives building, dedicated in June 2009 by current Church President, Thomas S. Monson.
Mermaids are not real, so nobody can become one regardless of their religion.
Are the angels in book of Mormon fallin angels?
No. The angels which appear or speak in the Book of Mormon are not fallen angels. Mormons believe that angels are messengers from God, and that they are the spirits (or resurrected personages) of those who have lived or who will live upon this earth.
Angels appear or speak in these verses of the Book of Mormon:
1 Nephi 1:8; 3:29; 11:14-14:30;
2 Nephi 10:3;
Jacob 7:5
Mosiah 3:2-4:1; 27:11-18
Alma 8:14-18; 10:7; 19:34; 40:11
Helaman 13:7; 16:14
3 Nephi 7:15; 7:18; 7:24
Each time it is in bearing witness of or delivering messages from God. Therefore, they are not fallen angels, but angels of God.
The Book of Mormon does mention the angels of the devil, who may be considered fallen angels, in 2 Nephi 2:17, 9:8-9, 9:16; Jacob 3:11, Mosiah 26:27; and Helaman 13:37, but these angels do not personally appear or speak at any time in the Book of Mormon.
While I do not know the full details about the process I do know that for him to be sealed to his current spouse, even if you have already had a temple divorce, you will need to give your approval for him to be sealed to someone else.
My parents were divorced and had their sealing annulled and then when my Dad went to get sealed to his current wife she got a letter from the first presidency asking her if she would give her approval for him to be sealed.
Second answer: The dissolution of a temple sealing is handled apart from any legal procedings. Thus a couple may be legally divorced, but still considered "sealed" together by the Church until the sealing is dissolved by the First Presidency. To that end, both former spouses are asked to provide a letter to the First Presidency outlining the circumstances that led to the divorce and the reasons why both spouses agree to the dissolution. The respective bishops of each former spouse also write a letter to accompany these letters, all of which are reviewed by the First Presidency. A final determination is made, and a letter sent to the parties involved indicating whether the church considers their sealing to be void. This must be done before either former spouse can consider being sealed to their new husband or wife. The letter from the First Presidency is taken to the temple at the time of the new sealing.

After reading or hearing The Secrets of Mormons book does it say they go to heaven?
I could find no record of any commercially published book called "The Secrets of Mormons". Perhaps you have the title wrong? There are many anti-Mormon books with similar titles, but obviously an anti-Mormon book would not say that Mormons go to heaven.

What was the name of the ship that brought the Mormon people to San Francisco bay?
I believe it was called "The Brooklyn". It sailed from New York (City, I think) around south America (The Cape) and back up the other side to land in California.
I am a direct descendent of John Neff, from Pennsylvania who joined the church after a personal acquaintence with Joseph Smith in Nauvoo and subsequently went on to Utah.
Neff is said to have paid the "mooring fees" on "The Brooklyn" ship in order for it to be released from New York and allow it set sail. This can be found in Susan Easton Black's Biography of Pioneer Saints under "Neff, John".
Neff was a wealthy farmer and gave much to the cause of the church during his day including purchasing two mill stones used to grind flour at Winter Quarters, Omaha, NE and SLC (in "Mill Creek Canyon"), Salt Lake City, UT, USA.
Mormon settlers were among the first present when Gold was discovered in California by the first Gold Prospectors (that started the Gold rush). These settlers were on that ship and subsequently left gold prospecting to go back to Utah.
What number is the Mormon ranked in the us compared to other religions?
It all depends on how religions are categorized. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the mainstream "Mormon" church) is generally ranked one of the top five fastest growingChristian denominations in the United States. It is also one of the largest denominations in the United States, although the numbers vary in different polls because what counts as a denomination and how denominations count their members varies. (for example, are they clumping all Baptists together, or separating them into the Southern Baptists, Independent Baptists, American Baptists, Free Will Baptists, Missionary Baptists, Reformed Baptists, etc? Are members regular attenders or do occassional attenders count? Do baptized children count or only adults?)
Here are some numbers to compare:
Mormons in the United States: ~6 million
Catholics in the United States: ~70 million
Baptists in the United States: ~47 million
* Southern Baptist Convention: ~16 million
* National Baptist Convention: ~5 million
* American Baptists: ~1 million
Methodists in the United States: ~20 million
* United Methodists: ~8 million
* African Methodist Episcopalian: ~3 million
Lutherans in the United States: ~13 million
* Evangelical Lutherans: ~4 million
* Missouri Synod: ~3 million
Presbyterians in the United States: ~8 million
* Presbyterian Church (USA): ~4 million
Pentecostals in the United States: ~8 million
* Church of God in Christ: ~5 million
* Assemblies of God: ~3 million
Jews in the United States: ~4 million
Independent/non-denominational Christians: ~3 million
Congregationalists in the United States: ~2 million
Jehovah's Witnesses in the United States: ~2 million
Did Mormon president Wilford Woodruff have wife who became a Seventh-day Adventist?
No. Wilford Woodruff married a total of five women:
Phoebe Whittemore Carter (1807-1885) m. 1837
Mary Ann Jackson m. 1846, divorced abt. 10 years later
Emma Smoot Smith (1838-1911) m. 1853
Sarah Brown (1834-1909) m. 1853
Sarah Delight Stocking (1838-1907) m. 1857
None of them ever left Mormonism, and each died a faithful and actively practicing member of the church.
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called "Mormons") can be found in every state of the United States and in nearly every country of the world. There are over 13.5 million members worldwide.
They live in regular homes, apartments, and neighborhoods that are typical of their culture or community.
