The US national anthem is The Star Spangled Banner

Francis Scott Key wrote our national anthem.

This is called 'March of the Volunteers', and was written by the Chinese poet Tian Han. It first appeared in a Shanghai play in 1934, and was adopted by the Communist Government after the 1949 revolution as being an appropriate marching anthem to the new state.

Actually I think you will find that although "Dixie" has come to be forever associated with the old South it was actually a song popular with both armies. I believe the official anthem of the CSA was the "BONNIE BLUE FLAG". Stuart Dangerfield, aka PlasticGangsta. Yee Haa

It is my understanding that the head of state is expected to show the same deference to the national anthems of foreign countries as he or she would to his or her own. Generally this means that, barring mobility limitations, the person would stand, refrain from conversation, and face the nation's flag (or, in the absence of a flag, the speaker's platform, or the source of the music). Salutatory gestures specific to that nation (such as the hand over the heart or an extended arm) are not appropriate for non-citizens. Hands are generally kept at the sides or may be clasped loosely in front of the body. In the case of a gentleman wearing a hat, it is appropriate for him to remove his hat and hold it across his body or at his side, as a sign of deference, unless the foreign nation's customs dictate otherwise. It is generally not considered good form to sing along as this would represent an allegiance to (as distinct from an alliance with) the foreign nation.

National anthem of Nepal is Sayaun Thunga Phool Ka (means "Made of Hundreds of Flowers"). It was written by poet Pradeep Kumar Rai, alias Byakul Maila.

The National Anthem Selection Task Team (NASTT) of Nepla on 30 November 2006, selected poet Byakul Maila's song as the new national anthem of Nepal.

"The Star-Spangled Banner" was recognized for official use by the Navy in 1889 and the President in 1916, and was made the national anthem by a congressional resolution on March 3, 1931, which was signed by President Herbert Hoover.

It is the "Flor de Izote". Its is a relatively small tree that rarely grows to be more than 20' tall with bladed leaves that grow into a round shape similar to how palm trees grow. A white flower apears (about mid-season here in Houston) at the top and this is 'El Flor Nacional Del Salvador'.

The government of Pakistan approved Mr. Hafeez Jalundhary's lyrics, which he had written in 1952. Thus, Mr. Hafeez Jalundhary's poetry was transformed into Pakistan's National Anthem.

Yes and no. Before 9/11, most people simply stood at attention for the anthem (look at any video of fans at a sports event). But after 9/11, many people began treating the anthem the same way they treat the salute for the flag: by placing the right hand over the heart. This, however is a custom and not a rule.
