Connect the r4 to a computer and got to the r4 games. Next find the nintendogs sav. file then delete the sav. file and now you got a new game.

This happened to me before. My DS was dying, so I asked my friend if I could use hers. When I played it on hers, it wouldn't let me go on a walk or do any competitions. So, I guess it won't let you if you're using someone else DS. But, if you still using your own and you haven't switched at all, I don't know. Sorry.

Can you change a dog's breed on Nintendogs?
No. But if you go to the kennel and click buy you can pick a dog breed and choose one of the three displayed dogs and click buy you get that exact dog and you get to name it. If you don't like the dogs that are displayed there, you have to completely exit out of the trip and then go back and there will be different dogs. Make sure you like your dog, as it costs atleast $500. But there is a way to trade in your dog. You go to dog hotel then click drop off if you have more than one and pick up if you have less than three dogs. Swap if you want to trade a dog for anothor dog. Donate at the very bottom lets go of a dog and you can never see it again. This is a sad option but if you have three dogs already and the hotel is full you can donate a dog you're sure you'll never pick up or buy and donate it.You can drop off the dog you want to replace with a new one.
You can never ever cange a dog breed that has already been bought/picked up.
How do you train your Nintendogs play dead on Nintendogs plus cats for 3ds?
Right. If you touch your pets picture in the main menu and then touch the little brown thing on the top Right of that picture, it will bring your pets health up and all that lot. Then there should be 2 little green buttons, one should say TRICKS and the other should say RESULTS. Touch the TRICKS one and then there should be a list of all the tricks your pet has learnt. Scroll through them and you should come across a picture with a puppy laid on its side, that's the play dead one. Touch it and it will come up on how to teach your puppy to play dead. Can you get a Chinese Crested Dog in Nintendogs?
I am sorry to say that both the original nintendogs and Nintendogs +cats do not have the Chinese Crested breed. My opinion on why they were not included in both games is probably because they: a.) Come in two variations, hairless and powder puff. b.) Game designers would have a bit of trouble recreating the chinese crested in the games because of their, ...well..., unique look.
