What is the best way to catch nuke boosters in Modern Warfare 2?

My advice would be to use sitrep so you can detect insertions. Also, you should probably watch videos about good boosting spots so you know where to look.

How long can a nuclear submarine go?

A submarine, theoretically, can go as long as the food for its sailors last. A submarine can make oxygen, distill water, remove CO2 and other pollutants, and provide almost anything needed to survive at sea and underwater for nearly an indefinite period of time. Modern nuclear-powered submarines' reactors will last without refueling for the life of the submarine - about 20 years. In 1960, the nuclear-powered submarine USS Triton circumnavigated the globe submerged.

How fast can a nuclear submarine submerge?

It depends on the size of the boat and the type of water it's in (saltwater is more buoyant than fresh), but in most cases the average time is less than a minute from popping the corks on the Main Ballast Tanks to the time the Sail clears the waterline. The pictures you see of today's modern submarines only show about the top 1/5 of the boat; the rest is underwater. Once the Main Ballast Tanks start flooding and all that water comes in, it doesn't take much time to get underwater.

Hoped that helped ;) Clarification The Author above wrote an scenario for what an post apocalyptic situation and even neglected to set the question's answer correctly! Fallout itself has no form, as it is nothing more than particles of radiation isotypes that hace attached itself to other objects. However, Fallout commonly attaches itself to ash, thus creating an snow like appearance that is clearly visible to the naked eye. Thanks to the fact that fallout loves to cling to ash, it can travel over 300 miles before settling down.

Was the scorpion a nuclear submarine?

USS Scorpion (SSN-589) was a Skipjack-class nuclear powered Fast-Attack submarine, based out of Norfolk, VA. She was one of only 2 nuclear powered boats the U.S. has lost, the other being USS Thresher (SSN-593).

Scorpion was lost while on her way home from deployment near the Azores in 1969. While many theories have been presented, the word in the submarine community, as well as post-accident procedure changes, indicated she was sunk by a hot-running Mk-37 torpedo that started up during electrical tests in the torpedo room. It's believed the boat failed to execute a 180° maneuver to initiate shutdown (fail-safe device) prior to weapon arming and detonation. While we in the submarine community knew about this years ago, the information wasn't publicly declassified until the 90's that gave the public the first indications that the event was a result of a torpedo accident.

Post accident procedures changed the way torpedoes are now electrically checked; they must be inside a torpedo tube in case of a hot-run event, so they can be ejected if necessary. To date, no Mk-48 series torpedo has ever had a hot-run event or accident since the changes.

Are Anti -ballistic Missile nuclear weapons?

No - ABM weapons are either high-energy weapons (particle beams or lasers), or high velocity intercept missiles that use radar tracking from several sources to lock on and intercept a ballistic missile in-flight, before it can separate its warheads.

Are the UK's nuclear missiles based in submarines?

Since its free-fall nuclear weapons arsenal was decomissioned in 1998, the United Kingdom's only means of nuclear weapons delivery is via submarines and SLBMs.

Are all nuclear fuel radioactive?

New nuclear fuel is slightly active, it has a very low rate of spontaneous fission, however it is safe to handle at this new stage when made up into fuel rods. After use in the reactor it becomes highly active and would kill you even with a short exposure, a minute or even less, so heavy shielding is then essential.

Who invented the submarine and when?

Cornelius Drebbel built the first workable submarine in 1620 using the 1578 plans of English mathematician William Bourne. The frame was constructed of wood, and it was wrapped with waterproof leather.

The first submarine to be used in combat was the Turtle(also called the American Turtle). It was invented by David Bushnell in 1775 and first used in on September 6, 1776 against the HMS Eagle. It was never successful as a combat weapon.

The first submarine to sink an enemy ship was the Confederat submarine H. L. Hunley. It was built by H. L. Hunleyand successfully sank the USS Housantonic on February 17, 1864.

American David Bushnell built the TURTLE in 1776; it was piloted by Sgt. Lee of the Continental Army.

Where is the safest place to be in case of nuclear fallout?

First off, if you live even near an city of an major kind or even an normal city, it is the worst case scenario. Normally, in the case of nuclear fallout, wind is your mortal enemy, as it is wind that carries the radioactive fallout miles abroad. Here is your ideal location, 100 miles away from any city, up wind and up stream of the cities or of the potential blast sites. In all actuality, once you find an place of this nature, it is safest to build and live in an underground shelter or house, which would not be exposed to the fallout directly. You will want to live 100 miles away so your electronics will be saved from near melt down status. Also remember, that the very worse enemy of man is man himself, and desperate city dwellers will do nearly anything to get your precious pure supplies.

If you are attacked by nuclear weapons what will be used to send the bombs?

The most likely form of delivery would be an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, launched from the ground, or from a submarine. The missile flies high into the atmosphere, before splitting into several separate warheads, which then descend to their targets.

Is there a nuclear submarine under Antarctica?

I can assure you that there isn't any nuclear submarine under Antarctica. The continent of Antarctica is solid land with a very thick glacier on top of it, and even if someone wanted to put a submarine underneath it, there is no way of doing that. You can put submarines in the north pole, but not the south.

Can you do tactical nuke with a chopper gunner on modern warfare 2?

It depends how much kills you got, every kill you make on the chopper gunner ads to your killstreak, one problem you might have is that you might have got killed while using the chopper gunner, or your plane got shot down. You dont need to do anything for the chopper gunner to ad to your killstreak, it already does. But you should use it in Wastelands because there is almost no houses, just the under ground and little shacks that you can find ( but there not very protective ) theres about 2 houses in the Wastelands. Hope this helps...

Edit- You can use a chopper gunner to get a Nuke, but you have to get at least 5-10 kills on it. If you get a chopper gunner from a care package, It wont add to you killstreak,
