No. It's too hot in the Bahamas and you'll need snow for the skiing and snowboarding events (that's why it's called snowboarding- you ride the board on snow). Even if you tried to import snow from somewhere cold and dump it on the Bahamas, it would probably melt because the Bahamas is too hot for snow. Plus, the Olympics are often held in large cities. I don't know if Nassau would be big enough to hold the Olympics (you'll need alot of hotels to accomodate all those atheletes and visitors) and a lot of free space to build the necessary buildings and other things required for the Olympics.

Olympic National Park is a very unique place. Sitting on near the most north west point of the US. It has immense mountains and a coastal rain forest at the same time. These unique places have been reserved for generations to enjoy as a National Park.

The olympics is only once every 4 years. Therefore an athelete will only be able to compete in about 3 in their sporting career. Also the olympics is the best in the world coming together to compete so if you win a medal you are either 3rd 2nd or the best in the world at that event.

There aren't records because in different places the courses are different lengths and have different corners and hills and things so there can't be a record for bobsleigh on the whole, but places probably have there own records but not very many people know them.

you have to be a really good player of that sport or hobby . you just don't send in a letter to them and ask to be in the olympics. some one would be stupid to do that if your not the best.

I think you have to be, not just confident in your abilities, and highly skilled, but also prepared to give up and sacrifice a lot in your life (junk food, free time, parties, etc.) to make it to the top.

I would recommend that you join a good athletics club. It doesn't matter if you haven't chosen an event yet, I would think coaches at the club can guide you to realize the extent of your abilities.

Beyond that, I grow less sure, but I assume that if you show promise and skill in your chosen event/s, you will be notified of Olympic trials. If not, you might be chosen for regional/national teams, etc.
