Oscar winner Kathy Bates does not have children of her own. How ever, she has a few nieces and nephews. Her older sister Patricia Smith Bates has three boys, Matthew, Patrick Parker and Andrew. Her other sister, Mary Wehbi Bates has two daughters, Linda and Margaret. Linda was Bates' assistant for many years and has an adopted daughter from China named Georgia.
