Let me teach you how to calculate this value. Every drug has a value called a half-life. There are many different kinds of half-lives, but when we talk about half-life in general like this (removing the drug from the body), we are talking about "elimination" half-life. This is the value you see in data sheets on places like Wiki. The half-life means "The time taken for Half the drug to be eliminated". Anyway, the half-life of Oxycodone (Percocet) is 3 - 4.5 hours. Now a lot of factors can increase this value (eg. if you suffer from renal failure, liver issues etc.) But assuming the worst, and let's say you have taken 40mg of Oxycodone. This means: 4.5 hours later - 20mg remaining 9 hrs later - 10mg remaining 13.5 hrs later - 5mg 18 hrs - 2.5mg 22.5 hrs - 1.25mg So all in all, to be on the safe side, keep this value at 36 hours but allow a buffer of upto 48 hours to be on the safe side since there are other factors to consider like your dosage and body-weight. if you want to get high then yes. if you crush or chew it somehow break the extended release coating on the pill then you will feel the full effect of the pill right away. but if you are not experienced with opiods then you will probably overdose

having experience being prescribed both of those drugs, I would have to say hydrocodone is roughly 1/4 to 1/3 as powerful as oxycodone 10/325's.

so, 5 or 6 of the regular 5/500 hydrocodones would be roughly equal in strength as 2-3 oxycodone (percocet) 10/325's.

Has the oxycodone helped up to now? If so, you may just need a larger dose short-term until surgery. Stronger medications include Dilaudid, Opana and Duragesic (fentanyl). I would do everything in my power to avoid going any higher unless the surgery fails to help. Usually, after knee replacement the idea is to reduce the narcotic doses as the pain improves. The more you take now, the harder it will be to get off these meds. Try not to make it any harder than it must be. I can tell you from experience, going off these meds is not pleasant, and it gets worse with higher doses.

Well according to the manufacturer you should not exceed 4000 mg od acetaminophen (tylenol) in one 24 hr period. So, don't take more than 8 tablets in a day. If you have the oxycodone without acetaminophen then the limit depends on your tolerance, check with your doctor or pharmacist.

No it does not. Be very careful if you're taking the non gel patch, especially 75-100mcg it will kill you! There is no euphoria opiate buzz! Example, I used 3- 80s of oxy plus 8 percs a day, went to 75 then 100mcg fent every 48 hours and I thought I was going to kick! I've cut them in half and put 50 on and cut and sucked on 8 pcs of the other half. I hope I have helped, be safe.

While water has no immense effect on detox, Oxycontin or oxycodone is water soluble and water does increase metabolic rate.(I'll get back to this later) If you use infrequently then the maximum that it would remain in your system would be 2-4 days for a lab test(commonly used by court systems). At maximum for frequent and high milligram doses is 5-7. However for the majority of tests those who do not test specifically for oxycodone is 3 days. I am certain of these answers because I myself am currently going through court drug tests and no matter the amount I used 7 days has cleared my system for lab UA's. Now to return to the question at hand, will water flush my system. No it will not necessairly flush your system but urine sample can be diluted. For example if you drink 1 gallon a day while upping your salt, vitamin b2 and creatine intake you may dilute your urine so that less toxins are emitted by your liver hence causing negative results while not raising suspicion. All drug tests have cutoff levels measured in nanograms with opiates, this level is usually about 300 because opiates are naturally produced with in your body. To put this more clearly, you may throw off lab results with water but in most states they check for this, causing a failed result. They do this by checking sodium levels as well as creatine levels diminished by a system flush.

To wrap this all up drug detection times frequently vary based on many things about a person ie weight, metabolic rate, food intake, amount and frequency of use....etc etc. The best way to not fail/ pass a drug test is not to do them period.
