No, the Oxycontin will still be in your system. But it depends how heavy of an oxy user you are. if you only do it a few times a month, the drug will be out of your system within a few days. Suboxone simply blocks the opiod receptors in your brain, so that even if you were to take an Oxycontin some time after using suboxone, you won't feel the effects of the oxy. It'll just be a waste.

This is how it works in the agency I work for. If a client has serious questions about a test result, we have a conference call with the lab. The client can talk with the lab techicians and pharmacist. There are sometimes follow-up tests that can be done if results are questionable. Usually, disputes and questions can be cleared up this way. Being with a person who is using certain drugs may cause some of that drug to get into your system. If you haven't, talk with your counselor about making contact with the lab; I would think this is standard procedure in most places.

Chewing a 10mg Oxycontin tablet will destroy the time release mechanism and you will get all 10mg at once. This is no the way the pill is supposed to be used and doing this is considered abuse and is illegal.

From a health perspective, 10mg is not a high dose to receive at once, especially if you have a tolerance. With that said, chewing the 10mg tablet will provide faster acting and stronger pain relief, but will not last as long as taking the pill whole.

IF you need fast pain relief, talk to your doctor, he will most likely prescribe you emergency pain tablets for breakthrough. I have these, I'm on 80mg Oxycontin tabs, one a day, and I also have 15mg instant release roxicodone tabs for breakthrough pain.

What you're talking about is basically a watered down or "kiddy" version of what's called a "speed ball", a real speed ball being heroin and cocaine. Whether it's bad or not just depends on whether you plan to do this a lot, if you are already an addict, plan to be or have moral or responsibility issues on the subject.

Firstly, I think any logical person can agree than proselytizing or telling someone what they "should" do (to be more like them) is useless in these internet forum things. These forums are not soapboxes.

Ok, here it is, I was a junky for quite a while and I can tell you that what you're talking about is dangerous. It's a lottery. I was, personally, always able to mix drugs in huge amounts and rarely overdosed in a serious way (you should know that any time a prescription drug gets you high because you took more than prescribed this is technically an overdose.) An addict or junky overdoses everyday, maybe all day. But I had friends who died from much smaller doses of the same drug cocktails I would use on a daily basis. So, while combining drugs with opposite highs can be a lot of fun you are basically playing Russian Roulette.

Without preaching, my advice is that you stay away from prescription pain pills unless you really need them and even then you should try hard to find another way. Not because it's "bad", because it can make it hard to have a happy and productive life. Besides that, be careful with the opiates and amphetamines and if you need both (for whatever your own reasons may be) keep your doses low or if you actually want to become an addict, ease your way into and prepare for a ride that ends in misery. That's not a caveat either, really. Without the misery that addiction wrought on me, (not to mention the first few euphoric and amazingly productive years before the devil came to collect what I owed so to speak) I'd have missed quite a few things that helped my work and my growth as a person. That might sound messed up but it's my truth. While I see how full of bull someone like Timothy Leary was, I can appreciate the basic shamanism that William Burroughs, John Frusciante, or (maybe) Daniel Pinchbeck engaged in and the realizations that would have been impossible without delving into those realms, that abyss.

I got way off your point, but my reason for doing this was that anyone wanting an answer to the question you asked is obviously flirting with a stint as an addict and this is what I know or think about that.

Lastly, if you are doing this type of thing and think you won't become addicted or have no metaphysical or personally experimental reasons to do something this hard to yourself, please don't kid yourself. You could get lucky, yes. Addiction is a genetic predisposition and some people can be weekend warriors. This I can't help with as it was all or nothing for me.

No. What you have is immediate release oxycodone. Oxycontin is no different of a substance. The only difference is that Oxycontin is a brand name of the drug, and is controlled released. The generic name for Oxycontin is oxycodone HCL the HCL (hydrochloride) means it releases the medicine slowly into your system over a span of usually 12 hours. That is why people snort, or inject oxycodone as opposed to taking it orally like you are supposed to, so that all the medicine is released into your system.

Oxycodone is a completley different drug and is much stronger than vicodin. Vicodin is made of hydrocodone. Hydrocodone and oxycodone will NOT show up as the same drug. Yes any amount of oxycodone will show up for at leat 3-4 days after taking just one pill.

Oxycontin is pure oxycodone into a pill, with inert binders. It is the name of the pill.

Oxycodone is the name of the chemical in the pill.

If you took any pain killer and it was too strong do not take any more medication the same day. Check with your physician before taking any prescription medication. Well, it is obviously different for you than it is most people. I have been taking Suboxone for a year, and I certainly do not get high from it. I am at 8 mg per day. I never feel high from it. I don't know anyone who feels high from Suboxone.

The first day I took it I felt good, but I am pretty sure that is only because I was in withdrawal before I took it and it got me well.........it definitely did not feel anything like Oxy's.

So, all I can say to you is enjoy it........LOL! I am a little jealous, actually.....(I know that's sick, but it's the nature of the beast I guess).

usually the 325 means the amount of acetaminophen or ibuprofen in it.. you will never have a pill 325 mg of oxycodone.. the amount of oxycodone is usually the lower number for example... 5-325 is 5 mg oxy and 325 of acetaminophen and 7.5/325 is 7.5 oxy and 325 acetaminophen and sooo on.. 5/325... 7.5/325..10/325..
