The habasinan is believed to have originated in Havana, Cuba brought by African slaves and found its way to Spain and France in the 19th century, where it became popular. It has evolved to a social dance for the ballroom or stage. The Habasinan is a version that has incorporated dance with the traditions of Philippine wedding customs

There's a song by The Nolans called I'm In the Mood for Dancing that includes a line, so dance... just dance..., but I wouldn't really call it country.

I'm one of Margaret's six daughters and I'm proud to say she went on to photograph Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel as they got more famous, along with Robert Plant, Cheap Trick, Eric Clapton and others. Some of her work can be found on the back of one of Peter's albums and in the centerfold of a Phil Collins double album. She also contributed to a coffee table book that was a photo biography of Genesis, as she was one of the few people with photos of their early years. She is now 80 and no longer "touring" with rock bands but continues her love of photography. The Ghost Dance was a near- Christian religious ceremony that if properly performed would bring the bison back, all dead warriors back and victory over the white invaders.

More importantly, the Ghost Dance offered hope to a people whose spirit was eroding which is why it got outlawed by the whites. The whites needed to break the Indian spirit to control them, something they never truly accomplished.

NOTE:

It should also be noted that the "Ghost Dance" started with a Paiute named Wovoka who had allegedly had a vision of God. It was 'synthesized' as it was accepted into each tribe; so its meaning may change dependent on which tribe the reference is made from.

That depends what you mean by "type". There are general types, such as chamber music, folk, swing and country or there are specific dances such as the waltz, the gavotte, the minuet or the volte.

She is also know for many stage performances in the Kansas City area including the silent screen theater of Mary Pickford in Olathe, Kansas and many different training films for the local Halmark industry. She has also been known to perform on the many stages at JCCC.

I strongly doubt that "shorty fire" has anything to do with a girl setting fire to a dance floor. More likely the "burning" is a metaphor, and has nothing to do with actual fire or burning. Alternately, it could just be a filler chorus for when a pop artist can't come up with sensible lyrics.
