What does Synchronized swimming do?
Synchronized swimming is when 2 or more people doing the exact same moves in the water at the exact same time and there is also synchronized diving, which is when 2 people do the same style of dive in synch (at the same time). Swimmers are literally dancing in the water and for that reason the sport used to be called water ballet. Some moves resemble gymnastics - somersaults, flips, pikes, tucks, and walkovers. They also spin upside down a lot and sometimes link their legs together. The only limit to what they can do in the water is they can't touch the pool walls or floor at any time. Routines are choreographed based on the music, just like in figure skating. The Olympic swimmers are amazing because they make it look so easy!

I have been told several times that the mine site has a cemetery across from it that the dead from the explosion in the early nineteen hundreds are buried. This area is still sparsely populated and undeveloped, with very few acceptable roads ( Porter Road is in such poor condition it is hard to belive it is a county maintained road ), so plan on going slow, and traveling in a pickup or SUV when searching the area.
