The ingredients are all natural, no man-made chemicals, no animal testing, and organic. Castile soap comes in many different types and with different natural additives, from peppermint to lavender. All should work well, although the straight castile soap with no added ingredients would be best until you have tested the others on your pet. Step4 If your pet has fleas, then you can be certain your house does as well. While throughly vacuuming and cleaning any area your pet may have traveled, especially where they sleep, will help with the problem, keep in mind that fleas can jump and are able to leap over large distances. Rather than call in an exterminator (which in extreme cases, you still may need to do) try this environmentally safe flea trap.Find a lamp and place a low watt (60 watts or less) light bulb in it. Turn the light on and leave it shining all night, so that it is the only light in any given room. Place water in a light colored shallow pan. Place this pan on the floor directly under the light, rigging the light so it shines in it. Add a tablespoon of dish soap to the water, stirring so it mixes well. Let sit overnight. You may need to do this in several rooms.Fleas will be attracted to the light and will jump into the shallow pan, and become trapped. Keep the pan in place each night until no fleas are found in the morning. Step5 Capsanem is just one type of beneficial Nematode used to kill fleas. Shady areas in yards are a haven for fleas, ticks and mosquitoes. If your pet is allowed out of the house this is more than likely the place they picked up the fleas and so must also be treated. While sunlight will kill fleas, the shady areas of your yards will need to be treated. This is a recipe I found that works well. flea shampoo Mix together 2/3 c water, 1/3 c Dawn, 1 tsp cooking oil (any kind as long as it's liquid), 2 tbsp aloe (any kind as long as it's at least 99% pure), a few drops each of lavender and rosemary essential oils (optional). I found it's easiest to use if you put it in a squirt bottle. I use a Bug Juice bottle, but any sports bottle will work. It gives you a free hand to hold the cat with.

I have found that the Dawn with bleach alternative works best at killing fleas. The oil is to prevent the Dawn from drying out their skin. The aloe soothes bites and heals them. The lavender and rosemary repell the fleas and helps prevent reinfestation. You need to leave it on as long as possible before rinsing. 5 minutes is the recommended time, but 1 minute will kill most of the fleas. If 30 seconds is all your cat will allow, it will kill many, and is better than nothing. I suggest you have the washer filled with water and ready to go, hot water is best. You will want to put the towels in emediately because they will be filled with fleas that aren't quite dead but want to escape the cat. Your clothes may need to be added as well if any fleas jump on you. Another thing that works to help get rid of fleas is rosemary tea. Simmer rosemary in water, about a tsp per cup of water for dried rosemary. With fresh rosemary, you may need more. When the water has turned a yellow/brown, like a weak tea you would drink, strain it and let it cool. Put this in a spray bottle and use around the house. I spray furniture, carpets, beds, and even the cat in between baths. You will need to spray once a week until the fleas are gone. Lavender and mint both repell fleas, but not as good as rosemary and they don't kill the fleas. The tea works great, but won't kill eggs so it could take a couple of months to get rid of them all. If the infestation is really bad, the shampoo can be sprayed around the house the same way as the rosemary tea. There is nothing in it that could hurt you or your pets, and it even kills eggs. I wouldn't spray directly on the cat without rinsing, or it may get diarreah from licking it off.

Oh dear .........Cockroaches are horrible scuttly insects which can carry salmonella and cause asthma in children, you WILL know when you get roaches. You WILL see roaches, they normally move really quickly when you turn on the light for example in the kitchen at night , they are normally more active at night , but you will see them by day -they tend to hide away in nooks and crannies during the daylight. You WILL smell them ! - yes a large infestation has a definite ROACH-Y odour , musty and a bit like almonds. You WILL see Cockroach skin moults , little brown cases where the roach has outgrown its skin and left it behind for you to treasure.............. You WILL see roach poo which looks like pepper dust , black specky flecks covering things again in the kitchen where they love to scoff waste matter , unboxed foods , cereals , un-protected foods anything really!
