From a folk perspective, a hero can be any character, male or female, who undertakes a major ordeal and overcomes in the end. Typically, this person starts as a regular joe and winds up being forced to undertake tasks due to social injustice, environmental disaster, or trying to cure an illness that has overtaken someone who is close to the main character. In the case of Peter Pan, he is a hero as he defends the youth in Never Never Land against the powerful dichotomy of Captain Hook. He may not fit most people's definition of a hero, but by folk standards his ordeals, his triumphs, and his victory in the end makes him a hero.

This is not to mention the typically appearance of a supernatural helper (Tinkerbell) and the other common characteristics found in fairy tales.

Because Peter Pan wanted a fight over Captain Hook. In most versions of Peter Pan Captain Hook's left hand was cut off because most people are right handed. But in some versions of Peter Pan they did it backwards by switching the cut off hand to the right they did that in the oringinal work by J.M Barrie because J.M Barrie is left handed.

Peter Pan said ''one night I heard my mother and father talking and when I was a baby I became a man''. Then he found Tinkerbell and they ran off together to Neverland. The Lost Boys are Tootles, Slightly, Nibs, Curly and the Twins, who don't have their own names of any kind but are just callled "Twins".
