For Peugeot 206 1.6 petrol, cambelt change should be done every 90000km or 6 years, whichever comes first.
hi
When u open the driver door just before the door seal is a sticker about seat height with the bar psi for the tyes
5W/40 Fully Synthetic Diesel Oil 5L is recomended
how do you replace it...not easily...
if anyone finds replacing a windscreen wiper that hard they have to pay dealer labour prices i wouldn't bother buying an automobile,
To change a lambda sensor you need access to the cat (catalytic converter) , whch is near enough always situated underneath the floorpan (on a 206 its somewhere below the gearstick on the outside of the car).
a lambda sensor plugs into tha cat so really to change this you would problably need to raise the car in the air high enough to take the cat off, so you would problably need to take the car to a garage with a lift (you don't need to take it to the dealers unless you've got money to burn)
and if you don't have a clue like how to change a wiper blade next time your wasting money having someone on about £50ph do it stand there and watch how they do it so next time you can do it yourself and not have to pay for something that takes all of 2 minutes max
The Peugeot 206 1.4 liter diesel engine holds three quarts of motor oil. The manufacturer recommends that the motor oil is changed every 7500 miles.
About £77 for the sensor plus time to fit and re-program, about another £60
It depends on the engine type.
On a 2.0 Petrol the recommended mileage to change the belt is 72,000mls, but you can always change it before.
With great difficulty!
have a look at the following link it'll answer everything you need

Go to peugeot give them your car reg and get a replacement rheostat or control resistor as they are sometimes known for the heater.
Then go home!
Make a nice cup of tea as you will be going a while!
Then get hold of a Torx 20 Screwdriver and a torch.
You will need to take out the Glovebox so you may as well empty it first.
You need to take the cover off the Glovebox open it but don't let it all way down just pull it out while it's still vertical otherwise it doesn't come out.
Then you need to take out the screws behind the Glovebox cover with the T20 screwdriver and also if you look closely there is another screw inside the Glovebox facing upwards, ( I missed that for a while! )
OK once you have taken all of those out you should be able to push the Glovebox down and out there will be some wires attached to the left hand side, detach them taking note of how they go in.
Right Glovebox out!
Now you need to take out the fan blower.
SO what you need to do is stick your torch and head in behind the Glovebox and if you look as if towards the central console but from behind you will see a round looking object with one screw in.
You need to take that screw out and then turn the thing clockwise. ( This will be really really tight so you need to twist hard, it took me a good few attempts )
Once you have dislodged it there is a clip that goes into the top of the fan for the power, you must take that out and then pull the blower out.
Once you have done this you can reach inside the air duct and you will feel the rheostat. Grab hold of it, twist it to unlock it from its place and pull it towards you.
Once you have done that, then just unplug it out of the socket and then plug the new one in, then push it back to where it was and twist it back to lock it into place.
Put the fan back in and plug the wire in making sure you don't get the wire caught in the air duct.
Screw fan screw back in.
Replace Glovebox!
your done!
Will save you over a £100 in labour charges .....................
if petrol is about 10% or less fill with diesel and carry on. otherwise remove as much as possible and fill with diesel.
This symbol is the engine management light. It means that there is a fault somewhere on the car, a written warning of the fault will then usually flah up where you digital clock dial is.
I have a 306 with the same warning light symbol so I assume it means the same thing.
If so it's the engine management light, which means there's a fault somewhere in the engine. The car needs to be taken to a mechanic asap. The only way to discover the fault is with diagnostic equipment. If you continue to drive it there is a risk of doing irreparable damage and you'd have to replace the engine.
I do mine (taxi fleet of 4, and formerly had year-2000 306 2.0HDi fleet the same) every 50-60thousand miles, = approximately 80,000km.
If you have just bought the car, do it anyways. Don't believe a dealer (even a main dealer) or salesman, even if they have "proof" on paper. Just do it. My last ones cost £30 parts (40 Euros) and 2 hours labour.
I do not buy genuine Peugeot ones, just a reputable brand that the garage trusts.
I think the recommended by Peugeot is something like 120,000km.
Big repair if it fails.
7 liters, I'm not sure if u can use any antifreeze though..
there not foglights there spotlights that come on with the main beam
Its either the battery or starter motor.
Have you tried to jump start it?
Hello,
I see it too on 206, It alerts you that your hand break is pulled up so you wont start driving with it, try placing the car only on "P" (parking mode at the gear) without the hand break pulled up I mean leave it down, then see if the car still flash's the stop light like you described on fresh ignition (might happen only the next day).
Hope that helps,
Have a good, safe and egolessness driving.
Erez.
