What does the engine light mean in a peugeot 206?

This symbol is the engine management light. It means that there is a fault somewhere on the car, a written warning of the fault will then usually flah up where you digital clock dial is.

What does the warning light symbol red engine with a letter K inside mean in the peugeot 806?

I have a 306 with the same warning light symbol so I assume it means the same thing.

If so it's the engine management light, which means there's a fault somewhere in the engine. The car needs to be taken to a mechanic asap. The only way to discover the fault is with diagnostic equipment. If you continue to drive it there is a risk of doing irreparable damage and you'd have to replace the engine.

When do you need to change the cam-belt on a 406 2.0 hdi?

I do mine (taxi fleet of 4, and formerly had year-2000 306 2.0HDi fleet the same) every 50-60thousand miles, = approximately 80,000km.

If you have just bought the car, do it anyways. Don't believe a dealer (even a main dealer) or salesman, even if they have "proof" on paper. Just do it. My last ones cost £30 parts (40 Euros) and 2 hours labour.

I do not buy genuine Peugeot ones, just a reputable brand that the garage trusts.

I think the recommended by Peugeot is something like 120,000km.

Big repair if it fails.

Peugoet 206 will turn over but will not start?

When you turn on the ignition on your peugeot 206 the stop light flashes twice then goes off Is this normal?

Hello,

I see it too on 206, It alerts you that your hand break is pulled up so you wont start driving with it, try placing the car only on "P" (parking mode at the gear) without the hand break pulled up I mean leave it down, then see if the car still flash's the stop light like you described on fresh ignition (might happen only the next day).

Hope that helps,

Have a good, safe and egolessness driving.

Erez.

How do you change bulb on digital clock in Peugeot 206?

This answers is accredited with thanks to golfguy at http://www.206info.co.uk/ForumsPro/viewtopic/t=19256/highlight=clock+bulbs+chang%2A.html

dead easy!

1/ Push backwards on the cover over your clock - this will pop out towards the windscreen.

2/ You will now be able to see your clock. look for a Trox screw in front of the clock - remove this and you will be able to lift the clock unit out (can be done with a normal flat head screwdriver).

3/ Disconnect the wiring on the back.

4/ Twist the bulb on the back of the clock unit 90 degrees, and the bulb will pop out.

5/ The bulbs are roughly a quid in your local motabitz or wherever, pull the old one out of the casing and put the new one in.

6/ Repeat as necessary and reassemble.

Done!

Also...

The cover comes up and out complete with the hazard warning button. No need to disconnect this.

The clock unit takes 3 bulbs.

They are a push fit into the white bayonet plastic bolder and old ones can difficult to remove.

Make sure new bulbs have wires making contact with holder.

You will need to reset the clock unit language and date/time when you reconnect it.

Good luck!
