No, Pokémon Colosseum cannot trade with Generation 1 (Red, Blue, Yellow) or Generation 2 (Gold, Silver, Crystal) games, it's only compatible with Generation 3 games such as Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green and Emerald.

After you defeat Pryce, Prof. Elm will call you and talk about a strange radio broadcast. After that go to Goldenrod city. Team Rocket will be everywhere. If you beat Venus in her brodcasting room, you'll see a chest near the stairs. Open it for 3 rare candies. Then, if you want more, (trust me, you do) give 1 rare candy each to 3 Pokemon. Put them all in separate boxes in the storage system, and then save, quit, and start it back up. Take the Pokemon out of the storage system and remove their items. Each Pokemon will be holding 50 rare candies, instead of just the one.

For the first Pokemon Colosseum:

You have to rid the heart gauge of all blue by battling with the Pokemon, massaging it, etc. You must then go to Agate Village and go to the relic. Press A and interact with it, then select the Pokemon to be purified.

I'm not really sure about the Pokemon Colosseum XD, being that I don't have that game.

After they are purified and you gain the ability to trade, yes. I purified my shadow Lugia from XD, traded him to Sapphire, and then migrated him (with 5 others) to Diamond. Moving him to Diamond was a one way move though... you can't trade from older games, you can only import.

Wild Seadras and Kingdras have a 5% chance of holding a dragon scale. you can find them on route 226 with a good rod or super rod.

you can either, go round searching for ages for one catching loads until you find one with a dragonscale, which could take hours, or you could do this which will save you alot of time and pokemoney on pokeballs when trying to retrieve any item that a wild Pokemon can hold.

1. get a venonat (or venomouth) with the ability Compound eyes. and set it to the front of your party

2. get a bannette or stantler with the ability frisk

3. get a Pokemon which knows an item stealing move, such as covet or thief.

4.Go and find the Pokemon you want to steal an item from, in this case, a horsea or seadra,

5. start the battle with your venonat, then change to your stantler or bannette. the reason for starting with venonat, is because the ability compound eyes apparently increases the chance of a wild Pokemon holding an item. (dw about what it actually says on the page, it does actually increase the chance by alot, as using this tatic against chanseys in trophy garden has got me alot of lucky eggs)

6. when stantler or bannette enters, if the Pokemon has an item on it, it will say something on screen like "bannette frisked its foe and found *Item*"

7. if it has an item on it, then change to your Pokemon which knows covet or thief, OR catch it, if it doesnt have an item on it, then run and try again

8. once you've changed to your Pokemon that knows covet or thief, use covet or thief against your foe, and you'll steal its item.

9. take the item off of your Pokemon that knows covet or thief after the battle.

I've gotten many lucky eggs doing this (which are great as they increase the exp. give out by x1.5) but it will work for any item. and it will save you alot of pokeballs and time. Happy Theiving =]

It really depends on how far you are into the game, but the general answer is walking through grass, surfing/fishing, and going through caves and forests to battle wild Pokemon and raise your Pokemon's level. Battling other trainers is also very effective because defeating their Pokemon usually gets your Pokemon more experience points than wild Pokemon.

If you already have a really high level Pokemon with a few good moves, you can make your lower level Pokemon hold exp. share, which will give it half of a battle's experience points. That means that you can go and battle the Elite Four twenty times in a row with your really powerful Pokemon and your lower level Pokemon will gain levels really quickly. You can also use rare candy, but they're hard to find unless you're playing Red/Blue and can do the infinite item glitch.
