The Ridge Tool Company and the "Ridgid" brand are owned by Emerson Electric Company. In 2003, Emerson Electric licensed One World Technologies (OWT) to manufacture Ridgid bench top and stationary woodworking power tools. Only the orange Ridgid power tools are manufactured by OWT. The Ridge Tool Company still manufactures the red Ridgid tools.
OWT is a subsidiary of a Hong Kong company named TechTronic Industries (or TTI). TTI now also owns the Milwaukee, Ryobi and AEG brands. OWT has also manufactured tools for Metabo, Fein and Senco.
Ridgid power tools are now manufactured by OWT in Asia (mostly China or Taiwan). As recently as 2006, a few Ridgid corded power tools (e.g., grinders, hammer drills, and jigsaw) were manufactured at the Metabo factory in Germany.
Is there a diffrenece between a bevel edge and a firmer chisel?
In Army terminology, ROC Drill is a Rehearsal of Concept.
Why is a Piller Drill the best tool for drilling into a scrap piece of wood?
It's not necessarily the best. I would prefer to use a hand held electric drill for this.
Which country manufactures Hilti power tools?

Why doesn't my chainsaw cut straight?
There could be a couple of reasons why a chainsaw may "pull," or, not cut straight:
What are the advantages of digital over analogue?
In many cases digital gives a more precise answer. Specially in clamp on amps. However they are not best for everything. Below 50 volts DC, I find analog volt measuring is more accurate.
That is not a question that we can understand - please try again with a few more words.
I called Kobalt directly and they said they have many vendors that make their tools. They said if you give them a specific item # they can tell you who made it.

How do you use an impact wrench?
An air Impact wrench is a tool shaped a bit like a power drill. It holds special strong steel sockets and applies air power onto a rotary shaft a bit like a hammer drill. Used mostly for undoing very tight nuts especially lug nuts on trucks .
When was the first power drill invented?
In the early 1800's. -The first ones were run off a belt from a steam engine in those days. The first electric ones were made about 1914 for use in war products.
What are the advantages of digital over analog?
The advantage of analog over digital or vice versa , is dependent on the input information type and / or signal amplitude where applicable , also on what the application is and other considerations like information / signal processing , storage , etc. The choice is decided by the advantages as per the requirements.
As a rule the information carried by an analog signal is dependent on its instantaneous magnitude or position. Thus it is highly susecptible to corruption by extraneous noise sources which can affect the magnitude arbitrarily.
On the other hand a digital signal typically carries information as changes in
amplitude level between two ( or more ) arbitrarily predefined levels, arranged
in a predetermined format and grouping ( more familiar as a code ). As long as the digital signal can be retrived without major loss in blocks of code , the original information can be mathematically retrived.
Whenever the information and / or signal level is very small and / or in analog form , invariably some form of analog processing is required before any meaningful conversion to digital format or processing can be done.
Now due to vast processing powers of digital circuits & computers , the advantage of analog is limited to very specialised requirements where the disadvantages of digital format would outweigh any other considertions. So for all purposes it would be invariably advantageous to use digital format and convert to analog whenever required.
The only notable analog format which will always be required is for human sound & visual interface ( or for that matter other senses ) which the body perceives and processes only as analog signals , even the pseudo analog modes of Class D Audio Amplifiers , LCD Displays , Projection , Digital Printing etc. which operate in the Digital mode to simulate analog signal output.
It may be noted that the Morse Code was essentially a digital format,
while Semaphore ( uses Flag & Hand positions to convey information ) was
an analog signal by virtue of hand position.

Can you get parts for your task force angle grinder?
Throw it away where it belongs and get a quality grinder. Lowes sells these and mine died after 6 months of minimal use.
What is the difference between hand tools and power tools?

What are three types of fuel used to run power tools?
"Fuel" is a strange way to put it, but: Unleaded Gasoline, Diesel Fuel, 110 and 220 electricity, and compressed air.
What is the difference between SDS Drill and regular drill?
Special Direct System drills are heavier than regular drills, have a hammer action and a chiselling action and take larger drill bits and chisels.

Is anyone able to tell me ANYTHING about Machtig power tools?
They are made in china and include a large range of powered garden tools aswell as a range of builders power tools. I have had experience with some of the whipper snippers, chainsaws and hedge trimmers. They are at the lower end of the price point and appear to be of reasonable quality so far. I doubt when they break that I will be able to get parts for them but if it makes me enough money to buy a good Japanese branded machine to replace it then it has done its job. To be fair these are suited for the home rather than a commercial application. Remember if it is cheap there is a reason and you always get what you pay for! Thanks from Sydney Australia
