How can a medical model help someone with depression?
Depression, since it involves imbalances in brain chemistry, is very much a medical issue. A medical model helps scientists understand the underlying causes, and assists in developing treatments.
Can you take embeda with clozapam and fluoxetine?
The product information for Embeda contains no specific information to warn against combined use with clonopin or fluoxetine. It does however include the following:
EMBEDA should be used with great caution and in reduced dosage in patients who are concurrently receiving other central nervous system (CNS) depressants including sedatives, hypnotics, general anesthetics, antiemetics, phenothiazines, other tranquilizers, and alcohol because of the risk of respiratory depression, hypotension, and profound sedation or coma. When such combined therapy is contemplated, the initial dose of one or both agents should be reduced by at least 50%.
Is it safe to take Depakote and Wellbutrin together?
I don't think anyone should make a medical decision based on what they read on the net without thoroughly discussing it with their doctor, but I will share my experience. I have taken wellbutrin every morning and depakote every evening for about five years. before i found this combination with my doctor, I could not hold a job or even stay in school. Now I have a master's degree and I am in law school. I give a lot of credit to having discovered the right combination of psychotropics FOR ME.
Lexapro didn't work. What is another alternative?
I would say, Better you get the suggestion from your Doctor. Because none other than Doctor would know well about the medications. If the Doctor says okay, buy your Non-controlled medication at http://www.MEDonWeb.net

Quit The Prescription Junk Forever!Reduction Chart Below
HELP LINE - www.RedfordHelp.com
Realize you are fighting a well-armed enemy. That is… it once was a friend, but now it's an enemy. Your enemy… and it wants to take away from your life whatever it can.
If done correctly, you do not have to suffer. Let me say that again… <-
This enemy looks benign, it is just a pill; but it has gripped itself deep within your person.
You have to "decide" you are going to defeat it. In reality it is not that complicated to accomplish, it is just a pill, yup… a stupid pill and it is messing up your life. Get mad at it!
If it takes many months to slowly tapper off, you are still achieving your goal… one reduction at a time.
No one but you can set the pace to slow to a stop and it is okay to change the pace along the way. The goal is to not quit the process of quitting, ever.
Once you have "decided" you are going to win, telling anyone but the people helping you about your plan is a bad idea that puts unnecessary pressure on you. Do not let the pressure of what others think effect you in any way when it comes to quitting. What they think is not important to you at all. You are going to war, and they are not in the war.
Establish your plan. It is okay if your plan changes but make a plan, on paper is best.
Example: Although the MGs will vary greatly, the percentages below are a good place to start. If at any reduction you experience side effects that you can't take, CHANGE YOUR PLAN! This is the only time it is okay to increase your dosage back to where your last reduction was.
Starting Dosage - 16MG daily.
First Reduction 25% or 12 MG daily
Second Reduction 25% or 8MG daily
You have already reduced by 50%!!! This is a great accomplishment!!!
Third Reduction 12.5% or 6MG daily
Fourth Reduction 12.5% or 4 MG daily
You have already reduced by 75%!!! This is a great, great accomplishment!!!
Fifth Reduction 6.25% or 3 MG daily
Sixth Reduction 6.25% or 2 MG Daily
You have reduced by 90%... GREAT!
Seventh Reduction 6.25% or 1 MG Daily
You have reduced by 96.25% !!!
At this point you have practically quit the junk, only 3.75% to go. Just continue the reduction as gently as you can. The whole process can take months to come to a full stop, that is fine, just make a plan and keep to it unless you need to back step a reduction. Your plan and not increasing your dosage is a key to success. Especially mentally, as you are setting a plan you are comfortable with and if you keep to it you will experience great satisfaction at every decrease. It is a great idea to celebrate each reduction, go out to dinner or whatever is special to you. MAKE SOMETHING OF IT!! Before you know it, it will be a thing of the past, just stick to your plan as it evolves, and don't stop stopping!
Bless God!

Can taking Prozac for a long time stop its ability to help with depression?
Yes. Even after 3-9 months, the effectiveness can diminish due to your brain's adaptation to the dose - so the dose increases help keep up with the adaptation. Over time, you can only take so much of one med, so they switch to a new one or add another one, even though there's not much if any research on mixing various medications.
When to restart fluoxetine after fluoxetine overdose?
I would seriously considering speaking to your doctor. I'm going to go ahead and assume that the overdose was an accident, but either way you should let your doctor know so that as he/she may help you. If fluoxetine was helpful prior to the overdose, it may indeed be helpful to restart it, when your physician believes that this is the right thing to do.
How will i feel tapering off Prozac 20mg to 10mg?

Are you referring to the doctor written paper prescription form itself, or to the bottle of pills? Either would be a violation of law - the actual possession of the pills being more serious.
Clonazipam will its a benzo
Does Prozac have a genetic name?

Best way to find out what is safe is at pharmacy or doctors. Some may cancel out benefits of meds some may be dangerous. DeeDee0920
If a doctor gives you 3 pills?
If a doctor gives you 3 pills it is important to be clear about how the pills are taken. Make sure to get directions and to take the pills in the way that they are prescribed.
What if I missed more than one dosage of Prozac?
You probably will not feel the side effects unless you have missed many doses. Prozac has a long half life which means it stays in your system for a long time (unlike the other SSRIs such as Paxil, Lexapro, Zoloft..) even after having stopped taking the medication. As a result, withdrawl symptoms are minimal. However, you may begin to experience a return of depressive/anxiety symptoms as the drug level decreases. It is not a good idea to abruptly stop taking Prozac because you feel ready to get off of the medication. If you missed a few days because you forgot or left them at home while on vacation - it is unlikely that there will be consequences. If you want to stop altogether, talk to your doctor first. :)
Can Prozac cause shingles outbreak?
In my opinion it does. I started Fluoxetine (generic prozac) about 6 days into it, I started breaking out in a rash on my back. Today I went to the doctor and he said it looked like Shingles and I was having pain and all associated with Shingles. I also, from first day of taking the meds, developed a serious head cold/flu like symptoms. My doctor took me off of the meds in case it is the cause of the cold/flu and shingles. Hope this helps. Funny I never had issues with it before.
