Sometimes symptoms of a cold in a dog are really indicative of a different illness.

Some serious diseases can give them these symptoms including distemper and bordetella (kennel cough) if they are not up to date on their vaccinations.

Chronic coughing in a dog can also be a sign of heart problems, especially if the coughing occurs when they are excited, playing hard, or especially active. Heart worms can cause some cold-like symptoms, too, especially in mosquito season and if they have not been on preventive medicine.

They cough when they have an obstruction or foreign body in their throat or windpipe (trachea).

They may just be coughing to clear their throats and sneezing because they got dust up their noses, but be sure to have your vet examine them. Keep them separate from other dogs and give them their own separate food and water bowls, keep them dry and warm in good shelter, keep them quiet and calm, and make sure they have plenty of very fresh and clear water at all times.

Schnauzers have a life span of about 12-16 years. But Miniature Schnauzers can live to about 22 years of age if they are kept happy and healthy.

At 7 months he can start adult food (this contains less protein) and then you will need to start monitoring his weight as pugs tend to overeat. 100 to 150 grams per feed twice per day is an average amount for an adult dog

Yes. Green peas are not poisonous to dogs but you should be careful about giving "people" food to dogs, they may have trouble digesting certain foods and some are poisonous to dogs.

yes being a owner of two they will bark and howl and other stuff it is just natural to any dogs. puppies have this problem more because they are young. most pugs grow out of it a 1 year old but it varys with the dog.

The tail is the way dogs express themselves, much like a flag. With a pug, if he is asleep and relaxed, the tail becomes long and loose. If the pug is happy, excited, etc. the tail is curled up tight like a knot on top of its butt. When a pug wags its tail, it will usually be tightly curled and flutter like a butterfly wing. When the tail is loose and wagging, in a circular motion, it is a submissive wag which is quickly followed by the pug showing you his belly.

Dogs can stud from 1 year old however it is not advisable to breed unless you know what you are doing as you can be passing on unwanted traits. You need to check your dogs pedigree that there are no endorsements from the breeder which do not allow you to breed or show your dog. If you are seriously considering studding your dog why don't you show him first, this would give you some feedback on whether he is a good specimen of the breed and worthy of stud.

Yes puggles shed but not very much. They dont shed like crazy there hair is short and very thin so it reduces the hair problem.

Both the beagle and pug shed which means the puggle shed. Also, you should brush them to reduce the amount of shedding.

My puggle sheds a LOT. Just brushing up against him will leave hair all over your clothes. Not recommended if you don't like to vaccum.
