Is worshipping on facing kaaba is supported in quran?
It is supported in quran, but it is not completely apparent upon first look.
How do Muslims worship and what is their holy book?
Holy Book: Their Holy Book is the Qur'an.
Worship: They gather in front of the Mosque and wash their hands and feet. Then, they enter the Mosque recite key Qur'anic verses (like Surat al-Fatiha). They will occasionally prostrate themselves on the ground during this recitation. On Fridays, the Imam will usually give a sermon. After this they depart. This is supposed to occur five times a day every day.
Are there errors in the Koran?
Answer: none.
by the way, I stumbled on this question while looking at something else and found this answer here (which is totally wrong and I refute it in bold. Anyone can copy the sura numbers and do a search of the quran to verify if they are truly interested):
Yes, there are a number of errors and contraditions in the Qur'an
1. Internal contradictions
- Allah does not forgive shirk (Surah 4:48), Allah does forgive shirk (4:153)
in 4:48 tells that those who take idols beside him will not be FORGIVEN while in 4:153 he mentions how he PARDONED the israelites when moses left them and they worshiped the golden calf. To forgive is to no longer hold a grudge, or not be angry or to be pleased again with someone after they wrong you. To pardon someone does not mean you forgive them, it only means they will receive no punishment for their sin since they repented or have received punishment enough for it.
Anyone who takes idols beside god (shirk) but repents, will be pardoned by god, but must live everyday asking for god's forgiveness and seeks god's pleasure for angering him.
2. Historical errors
- The Qur'an places Samaritans in a time period of Moses before Samaritans existed as a people. Yet the term 'Samaritan' was not coined until 722 B.C., which is several hundred years after Moses.
the Quran does not place the Samaritans of 722 B.C. (the ethnoreligous group) to the time of Moses. It does though mention a man from Samria (the ancient city) four times, he is mentioned as with the tribes through the exodus and behind the whole golden calf story. The quran describes him as an Jew and Israelite from Samaria (ergo a Samaritan) not a Samaritan in terms of the ethno religious group of 722BC. The name "Samaria" derives from an ancient city of the same name, which was located near the south of Samaria, and was the capital of the Kingdom of Israel. According to Kings 1 16:24, it is derived from the individual [or clan] Shemer, from whom Omri purchased the site.
- According to the Qur'an, no-one bore the name of Yahya before John the Baptist (sura 19:7). Yet, we find that name mentioned in the Old Testament (2 Kings 25:23) implying that it was a well known name hundreds of years before the writing of the Qur'an.
2 Kings 25:23 mentions the name Jonathan (Yohana) and not Yehya. In Arabic John the babtist is called Yohanna EL Mimidan, but the quranic verse gives his name not as Yohanna, but Yehya, a name not given to anyone before him. He is never called even today in Arabic as Yehya El Mimadan (Yehya the Baptist), he is either named The Prophet Yehya (El Nabi Yehya) or when in the context of his Baptising is called Yohanna El Mimidan (John the Baptist) he is never called El Nabi Yohanna (the Prophet John). There is a difference between his called name (John, Yohanna) and his true name (Yehya) which god gave him. Consider Baptism today, given names and christian names, and it actually makes sense for this prophet in particular to have two names, a common one (John, Yohanna) and a holy one (Yehya).
3. Scientific errors and absurdities
- Sura 86:5-7 tells us that man is created from a gushing fluid that issues from between the loins and the ribs. Therefore, in this sura we find that the semen which creates a child originates from the back or kidney of the male and not the testicles.
It needs to be read in Arabic to understand the words, and also the context is important, but anyway, here are a translation of the verses mentioned only
86:5 (Asad) LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created:
86:6 (Asad) he has been created out of a seminal fluid
86:7 (Asad) issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman].
4. Mathematical errors
- The inheritance law in Sura 4:11-12 and 4:176 add up to over 100% of the estate being distributed.
The verses are too long to cite here, but anyone who reads them can do the math. The idea is that some relations will always get a certain fraction (if they are alive at the time of the bequeather's death) while the sons and daughters get fractions of what's left. So some relatives get a fraction, then others get a fraction of the REMAINDER. So I have a right to a half and my brother a half, that makes a 100% of what's left over after our mother takes her sixth... it's really simple
6. Grammatical errors
- Sura 2:177, the word Sabireen should be Sabiroon it is a human plural, it should remain in the masculine plural form.
:-) I like this one since it seems it does not stem from an all out lie, but from ignorance!
sabireen or sabiroon are both masculine since it is verbal (action) plural ; i.e. like "liars" or "deceivers" and not nounal plural like "idiots" or "boxes". In the case of verbal plurals, based on verbs, the ee or oo depends on the dialectal requirement of the sentence like in the verse:
3:17 Those who show patience, Firmness and self-control; who are true (in word and deed); who worship devoutly; who spend (in the way of God; and who pray for forgiveness in the early hours of the morning.
Al sabireen WA al ssadiqeen WA al qaniteen WA al munfiqeen WA al mustaghfireen bi al ashar
Or sura 7:160, the phrase "We divided them into twelve tribes," is written in the feminine plural: Uthnati Ashrat Asbaataan. however, it should be written in the masculine plural form: Uthaiy Ashara Sibtaan, as all human plurals are automatically male in Arabic.
:-) another absurd one: what is Sibataan? I do not know!
A "Sibat" is a grandson, another more modernly or commonly used Arabic word for "Sibat" is "Hafeedd" , also grandson.
The plural of Sibat is Asbaat, just like the plural of Hafeedd is Ahfaadd.. you cant even say Hifddaan or Sibtaan, they're meaningless or sound like Arabic cockney, if you know what I mean - they don't exist grammatically
the plural of ElSibat is El Asbaat... for this last one I almost feel like I shouldn't refute it because it is so absurd?!
anyhow, there you go, some people just want to write anything (for what reason?)
there are no contradictions in the quran, though many have tried to find any, in 1500 years no one has found any

How is the holy book treated in Islam?
It is treated very nicely and with high respect. This manifested in:
Classically a Protestant is a follower of Luther in his campaign against the Pope.
Today most denominations seem to claim to be protestants. In England a Protestant was a chap who protested against the Pope's intervention in English politics in the 16th Century in his attempt to supplant Eliza! In 1791 The Roman Leadership in a letter to the House of Lords demanding free practice of their religion described themselves of protestant Dissenting catholics.
Whilst the Anglicans have never, as a Church, used the term, although William of Orange asked them to use the term in an effort to encourage friendship between the Dutch Calvinist Church and the Anglican Church. The Convocation of the English Church refused saying that it had never used the term in a theological sitting and didn't intend to start. This was at a time when William of Orange the usurper had an Army of Occupation in England some 10,000 strong.
Roman Catholic answerProtestantfrom A Catholic Dictionary, edited by Donald Attwater, Second edition, revised 1957
An adherent of any one of the religious bodies detached from the Catholic Church at the time of the Reformation or of any sect deriving from them; one who professes the doctrines of those reformers. The name was first applied to and accepted by those Lutherans who protested against the decree of the second Diet of Speyer (1529) which ordained that in those states where the new religion had got a hold Catholic doctrine should not be attacked nor the celebration of Mass interfered with, pending the decisions of a council of the Empire.
Its use afterwards spread to all reformers and is now generally interpreted as a "protest against the errors of the Church of Rome." It is a gross and misleading mistake to apply the name to members of the dissident Eastern churches, or to "after-Christians" who repudiate Protestantism equally or (nearly equally) with Catholicism.
"After-Christian". An inhabitant of Christendom and a descendant of Christian ancestors who, implicitly or explicitly, repudiates Christianity as a revealed religion. The term is specially used of such people in England and the United States where much contemporary educated public opinion regards religion in a merely humanitarian and pragmatic way.

Intercession on the Day of Judgment
It is a very important question and Quran gives a very comprehensive answer to this question.
Here is the summary:
1: The Day of Judgment is a Day when no one will have the power to do anything for another. Judgment on that Day will wholly rest with Allah.
2: Intercession on that Day is wholly in the power of Allah.
3: That is a Day when none could speak except the one whom the Merciful may permit, and who speaks what is right.
4: On that Day no intercession will avail except the one for whom the most Merciful has given permission (to intercede) and be pleased to give him a hearing. (Because) He is fully aware of all that is before the people and of all that is behind them but others do not have full knowledge of it.

What is the scientific logic behind fasting in religions?
It overhauls your body as during a planned maintenance shutdown of machines.
answer:
In the bodies of fasting people, epinephrine and cortisone hormones mix into the bloodstream more easily. These hormones have effects also on cancerous cells. They serve as a shield against cancer; that is, they prevent the growth of cancer cells. Indeed, the body of a fasting person is in maintenance mode. The fat that surrounds internal organs melts away. The body becomes invigorated and gathers physical strength with an increased level of resistance to diabetes as well as stomach, kidney, heart, and liver diseases.
The liver takes a rest for 3-5 hours during fasting, thereby stopping storage of food substances for a while. In the mean time, it prepares globulins, which will boost the immune system. Muscles in the stomach and cells that release secretions, too, have a rest for some time during fasting hours. As the volume of blood circulating in the body decreases and consequently blood pressure drops, the heart relaxes.
If waste materials from food are not burned thoroughly, they impair arteries. Unburned fats make arteries narrower and cause the disease called arteriosclerosis. [During the practice of fasting], nearly no substance is left in the body towards sunset. That is, all substances are metabolized. Hence, fasting is beneficial for some diseases, especially for arteriosclerosis sufferers. Other body organs, too, get a chance to rest. Eating less and fasting are of vital importance for body health.
