Where is tuberculosis most likely to be found?

TB is found in the lungs. However, it only kills around 80% of carriers. There have been many people who live with TB and their body is able to prevent it from going too far. TB is carried by many people and it is very simple to pick up. It can be picked up any where on the planet, it is an air born disease. This means someone who has tuberculosis will be coughing a lot and the phlegm that is propelled through the air by the cough carries the disease and will spread when someone else comes into contact with the diseased spittle.

Once when I had a rash on my upper legs, I put some calamine on it and that helped a lot. Within the next 10 to 11 hours the redness had been reduced and it didn't hurt after about 1 minute of putting the calamine on it. That may not fix it for you but it worked for me.

This can be caused by perspiration on both men and women and on men it can be ingrown hairs from their jeans rubbing (they can also get this on their upper legs.) Soak in a bath tub of warm water and 1 cup of Epsom Salts that can be bought at your drug store. Pour enough boiling water into the cup of Epsom Salts and add to bath water. Lay in the tub for 20 minutes to 1/2 hour. Do 2 - 3 times a week. This method is also good for sores on the body and sunburns and muscle aches. Epsom Salt is not like table salt and is very soothing. If you still have the rash a week after using Epsom Salts then please see your doctor.

What is a rash in the shape of a circle on arms and legs?

What is a circle rash that doesn't itch?

Sounds like it could be ring worm. I'd have it checked by a doctor to know for sure. It could just be an irritation that happens to be in a circle.

AnswerIt is probably a ringworm; however, you should see your doctor and get some medication. AnswerDon't waste your money on a doctor. Just go to your local pharmacy and ask him what he thinks it is and and see if he can give you something over the counter for it. Most Pharmacist know just as much as doctors. AnswerIf the center is clear and it is a ring shape and has bad itching it probably is ringworm. The old and proven remedy is to soak a cottonball in Clorox Bleach. Thoroughly soak the area let dry leave it on a while. This does burn, but 1 time should be enough to smother the worm. AnswerRingworm is not a worm. It is a fungal infection slightly under the skin. Do not use bleach on your body, it's for your clothes or cleaning up disgusting things on floors or counters. Go buy some antifungal over the counter medication. if problem persists, consult your doctor. AnswerAs a retired cosmetologist & instructor, & mother of 2 sets of now adult twins and a 13 yr old as well, I think I might be able to help on the ringworm thing. It is a fungal infection, but from my experience and I have had plenty of it, over the counter medicines don't work, especially if it has already developed the full ring, for every over the counter med you continue to try and every home remedy you try, it will continue to get larger and larger, and as it does, it does damage to the skin tissue, nails (if involved), and especially any hair folicles. The only true treatment I have ever found successful, included antibiotic creams with INTERNAL Prescription Medication/antibiotics at the same time. (Depending on it's severity, and strain, it can in some cases require medications that use poisons in which cases the blood / medication levels of the patient have to be monitored closely. Getting a correct diagnosis and correct treatment is best done through a dermatologist not a regular MD. I have had one of my children end up with minor permanent damage to hair follicles, and hair no longer grows where the infection occurred, thankfully it was an underneath area, don't wait to seek out a doctor to find out for sure the sooner it's treated, the less complicated the treatment needs to be- if it's treated both internally and externally at the same time.

I agree with the above statement except treating it with an antibiotic. Antibiotics are only for bacteria. Since it was stated that ringworm is caused by a fungus, antibiotics may further worsen the problem. However, one fungus is treated by antibiotics, Pneumocystis jiroveci, but that is only seen in immunocompromised people such as AIDS patients. It should be treated internally (terbinafine or itraconazole) and externally (terbinafine 1% cream - Lamisil). Do not suck on a tube of Lamisil for internal treatment. It's not the same thing. Since you need a prescription for the internal medication, you might as well go to the doctor anyway.

Most of the above answers say ringworm, but i had this red patch on the inside of my arm. In fact, I get it every spring. It was nothing. Just some sort of irritation of the skin.

AnswerIf it's in the shape of a circle, not raised, white if your tan and red if your not then it may not be ringworm. I am speaking from my own personal experience, because I've never had ringworm. I went to my dermatologist for this one. But the skin on my chest leading up to my neck is very sensitive and there is a fungus that lives on just about everyone and is normally introduced through family members (the close proximity). I have several perfectly round, sometimes itchy, spots. My doctor gave me a cream that's usually used for such fungal things as say ringworm. It's called 'Oxistat', I am to apply it once a day for three weeks or so and can stop when I see that the spots are gone. However, because my skin is so sensitive in this area they will most likely reappear sometime in the future. Normally from sweat or over exposure to the sun. Anyway, just incase anyone was wondering if it could be anything besides ringworm, here's your answer.

Circle with red circle inside? If so get checked for Lyme disease.

What causes a itchy rash on your wrists?

Go see a doctor because that is not common at all...

This could be an allergic reaction to a product such as dish detergent, soap, lotion, etc. that you've just begun using. Allergic reactions can also occur to things that you've been using for a long time, and are not always only to new products that you've just begun using.

If you've recently done gardening, taken a walk through a park, wooded area, etc., it could be an allergic reaction to a particular plant, as well.

What are the little itchy red bumps on your arm?

How long have they been there. Do you live or have you visited a wooded area. Could you have been exposed to a poison oak or Ive. . It is most likely an allergic reaction to something. If the allergen is not on you anymore it rash should dissapate and be gone within 10-14 days. However if you are still exposed to whatever irritated your skin, it may continue. Try google search for contact dermatitis, and look at the image results for pictures to compare.

Should you sleep in a bra?

yep a double d

- I like to wear one when I sleep. I have large breasts and have been wearing a bra to bed since they grew in. I find that I get less soreness this way too.

--Well, it depends, if you feel comfortable in the bra and you are not getting marks on yourskin from the irritation, yes you can. Also, it is best that you do not wear an underwire bra to bed, as there are theories this can cause breast cancer. This is because the bra traps the toxins in breat tissue so they were not able to flow. This may not be true, but, as ever, it is best to be on the safe side. ( The breast cancer statment should only apply to tight, heavy or underwire bra's)

my friends says it makes them go saggier
if you wear a bra in the day its ok but wearing one in the night can mishape your boobs

What are small flat flesh colored bumps on hand?

Most likely it is scabies. Could also be some sort of allergic reaction, such as hives. (Have you been petting a cat, and are you allergic to cats? Just an example.) See what happens if you take some Benadryl or apply some Caladryl lotion. Unless, of course, you've been exposed to poison ivy or poison oak. (Keep your fingers away from your eyes.)

You might ask your pharmacist for a recommendation. Best of all would be to see a dermatologst (skin doctor).

What is this small circle rash on your upper thigh that is red rough but not scaley and is either inflamed or turns brown and hasn't gone away for months?

You should go to your doctor to make sure that it is not ringworm that has spread. They see these things all the time so don't feel weird going to your doctor. The only way that you can get rid of ringworm is with a medicated cream or a pill. Good luck:) answer 2: you probably should see a dr if its been that long. however, if you can't ge to one right away, try rubbing apple cider vinegar with water 1:1 ratio and see if it helps. or if you have colloidal silver, that helps the healing of it also.
