I could never find the SOYO codes until now. The cable company gave me these codes. 11826, 11546, 11831, 11830, 11824, 11828, 11823, and 10466.

11830 is the one that worked for me. I was really surprised. Been looking for the last six years and finally found them. This is for a remote from the cable company I got because of a cable upgrade. Maybe they'll work for you. I think SOYO is out of business. The TV works great but they were a bad company to do business with.

with a GE 4-way universal remote (24944), 8225 & 8181 will work with power and changing channel, etc. It won't however work with the volume controls/mute/etc.

First, turn on the component you want to program the remote for. Next, press the appropriate device button (TV, VCR, or DVD). Hold that button for five seconds. Press "power" on the remote. Which remote control? A number of outfits post online different codes for different remotes for different sets. (Hope that made sense.) Try programming the remote to operate another set other than the Symphonic. If the remote works, fasten your seatbelt. Here's why. There are still a few "hard-headed" manufacturers who make sets that have remotes with "oddball codes" and they cannot be replaced with the universal remotes. Some Symphonic sets are like this. Buy a remote from a company that will take it back if it won't program to your set. Ask them up front about returns. Radio Shack is one such company that will take the remote back if you cannot make it work with your unit and you return it with all the stuff it came with - including the receipt.

Hope this helps anyone like myself that was trying to set the remote codes on a Yamaha Receiver remote for a Dynex TV. I have a 32" Dynex in a second viewing area that I wanted to control with the RAV367 remote from my Yamaha RX-V1800 AV Receiver. I went through dozens of codes gathered from numerous websites, all with no luck. I finally decided to try programing it directly remote to remote with Yamaha's "Programing codes from other remote controls" chapter on page 104 of the RX-V1800's owner's manual. To my delight it worked perfectly and I now have most of the remote commands I use most often. The only alteration I made was to use the "TV Mute" control button on the RAV367 to set the TV input from the Dynex remote while using the "TV Input" button on the RAV367 to control the HDMI input. Other than that slight alteration every function I normally used on the Dynex remote I can now control with the Yamaha remote. I hope this helps.

Try 2434 it works with the URC-8820 remote on the 40" TV.

The instructions that come with it are awful, and none of the codes worked. The only way I could get my the codes for my devices was to turn on only the selected device (TV, Cable) press the code search button til the red light came on, then press the appropriate button once (TV, Cable, etc) then press the power button on the Really Big Remote again and again with a few seconds in between until the device turns off. Immediately press the ENTER button on the Really Big Remote. IF you caught the code, it will now turn the device on and off. If you didn't, try it again, pressing the power button with more seconds in between, so you are sure which press of the button turned it off. I can now turn all devices off and on, and switch channels and lower/raise volume. Still can't access the cable menu though.

They work on most of them. Some of the functions may not work. If you have a very old TV or an unusual model, you may have a problem .

If you have direct tv, you can just go to the menu and look for the code for the specific TV. And if you find the code, you have to know how to program that certain remote control. And if not just go to a Electronics store and buy a ten dollar remote and get the codes off of the instructions. They should definitely have the codes.

There are several.. the two that worked for me on 32" Vizio on two different universal remotes are: 1702 and 0606.

SInce the Bose uses an RF (radio frequency) remote, and the TV is most likely IR (infra red), you will have to use the IR extenders that came in the box, plug into the IR port on the head, and point the emitter at the IR eye on the device that you are trying to control. This way, you use Bose RF to control the device and get a much better range, and let it convert the commands to IR which the other devices will understand.
