an unlimited supply of hay is fine they wont over eat on it they will just eat it as they want it! they will probably steal lots for there bedding mine do just replace any un-eaten hay when you clean the cage out!

Sure they can! although don't feed it only that because they need good variation in their diet to stay fit and healthy for a full life span. the only vegtables they can't eat are celary, peppers,and onions as far as i know! hope this helped

Wood cages are not very good because guinea pigs love to chew on wood. If you give your guinea pig a wooden cage, they might chew threw one day. Your pet might get lost!

I believe ivy leaves are poisonous to most (if not all) mammals. I would not recommend feeding ivy plants to any animals.

Any place that is dry and where they can regulate temperature well enough to accomodate nesting. Mice are phenomenally adaptive and thrive in almost any general environment.

True story - my sister has a Jack Russell Terrier and a six-year-old daughter. Last summer, she agreed to look after her friend's guinea pigs while her friend went on holiday. One day, she went round to feed them taking the dog and the daughter with her. Six-year-old went into the garden and though to herself "I know! I'll let the guinea pigs out of their cage! The dog and them will have such fun playing together!"

Needless to say, the Jack Russell did have fun. The guinea pigs less so, due to getting eaten.

Incidentally, the six-year-old was not at all traumatised by the blood and gore and still thinks it the funniest thing she's ever seen.

You can, but there's many many steps you'd need to take to do so. You would have to hide ALL electrical wires and such, block access to getting behind or under dangerous things- like refrigerators, dryer, etc. You would have to be sure that any other pets you have would not harm it, OR play too rough with it. You would have to clean up after it. It's not recommended. You'd have to make sure it didn't pee or poop in its water dish- this is why bottles are better. You could accidentally crush it if it slept with you and you moved.. It's not a good idea.
