Up untill 93, all you have to do is rotate it counter clockwise. After 93, I have no idea.

Since specs can change from year to year with improvements in engine oil, it is best to check the Owners Manual for your particular car. A good all-season would be fully synthetic 0w40 or 5w40, for hot climates (always above 60F) 15w50.

In new Saabs, the manufacturer specifies Mobil 1 (synthetic). Several Saab repair shops also recommend Mobil 1 as it is good in minimizing the buildup of carbon and sludge. Do NOT use the extended oil change intervals that some synthetics claim.

In the '99 9-5, I did, you have to remove the motor mount on top, then jack up the motor to make it more accessible. The rest is like any other belt job.

The size for a 2003 Saab front door speaker are 6.5 inches. There is room inside the door to allow for a larger speaker size.

It is difficult to get to, and on my 2004 9-3 they used locktite on the thing so it was extremely hard to remove. It helps to turn the steering wheel so that the front tire moves out of the way beofre you jack the car up. You have to jack up the front passenger side of the car high enough so you can reach under it. I have short arms, so I had to jack it up pretty high (unsafe, I know, I know). Lay on your back with your legs toward the front of the car, slide your left arm under the car, should be in front of the front passenger side tire about arms length in. Its a pretty nondescript looking bolt on the bottom of the oil pan...you will need a socket wrench to remove it. Hopefully yours will be easier to remove than mine was. If you can't get yours off easily, I was able to get mine off by sliding under the front end of the car and using a breaker bar on the socket wrench. Good luck!

STEP 1 Clean the sealing surfaces and fit the coolant pump to the pump housing. STEP 2 Lubricate the O-rings with an acid-free Vaseline and fit the sleeve together with the pump. STEP 3 Refit the boost pressure control valve (turbo cars). STEP 4 Refit the coolant hose to the throttle body and refit the screws on the thermostat housing. STEP 5 Refit the screw which holds the coolant pipe to the front left-hand corner of the engine. STEP 6 Reconnect the coolant hoses and pipes to the coolant pump. STEP 7 Refit the steering servo pump with its bracket and put the belt back. STEP 8 Relieve the belt tensioner of strain, using a ratchet handle extension, and remove the drill bit/or the like STEP 9 Refit the pressure pipe between the intercooler and the throttle body and refit the bypass hose (turbo cars). STEP 10 Refit the intake hose (turbo cars) and refit the air cleaner. STEP 11 Make sure that the drain plug is in tight. Fill with coolant and check the system for leaks.

A used Saab 93 convertible can be found frequently on websites such as Ebay, Craigslist, or other auction and classifieds listing websites, it is not a common car to be sold, but it does come up quite regularly.

GM initially bought 50% percent of SAAB in 1999 and then bought the rest of the company in 2000. They then sold SAAb to Spyker Cars.

You dont say petrol or diesel But petrol under plastic cover on the right 32mm filter cover Diesel remove lower engine cover and its in the centre just above the driveshaft 32mm again

I believe its the Throttle Positioning Sensor is out of test range. I took it to the shop, they fixed it. He told me it was some sensor, my car now idles normal. So yeah that is what is most likely.

Modern big aeroplanes are equally safe. Saab 340 has all the necessary features from technological point of view to be a safe aeroplane. 80% of the accidents come from the human factor so it is more important who flies (and maintains!) the machine rather than what kind it is. Personally I know Saab 340 captain and he said that it is very good machine. So fly without fear!:)

Used Saabs can be found by searching online. Used car dealerships have them in stock at times. Always compare prices before shopping. A mechanic should inspect any vehicle before it is bought, especially if it is pre-owned.

Someone looking to purchase a Saab Sonet can find one at a car sales lot. A Saab Sonet can be found at Saab dealerships. One can also purchase one from Kijiji or Craigslist.

Honda Accord is one that does. There are probably many more.

STEP 1 Raise the car & Remove both spoiler skirts. STEP 2 Remove the wing liners from the rear of the bumpers & lower the car STEP 3 Open the Hood & Remove the grille STEP 4 Move the headlamp wiper arms away from the headlamps and disconnect the washer hose Clips that hold the hose STEP 5 Remove the right and left headlamps and turn signals STEP 6 Remove the two bolts securing the bumper to the car body STEP 7 Cut the cable ties that hold fog light wiring and unplug their connectors. STEP 8 Unplug the temperature sensor connector located in the middle of the bumper. STEP 9 The sensor cable is held in place on the inside of the bumper by means of insulating tape. STEP 10 Lift the bumper away by pulling it forward so that it comes free from the brackets in wing and front. STEP 11 When replacing your bumper transfer the spoiler and number plate as well as the spoiler skirts to the new bumper

Before jacking up the car, install Saab spacer tool between the upper control arm and the body. This is important as it preserves a usable angle to remove the axle.


Jack up the car and support it on jack stands.

Remove wheel, remove brake caliper, remove center axle nut, disconnect the tie rod end, remove upper and lower ball joints from A-arms. Remove hub assembly from the car.

Loosen clamp on inner boot. You should now be able to remove the axle.


Outer CV joints can be replaced on the axle. Remove the boot, then remove the circlip holding the CV joint to the axle shaft.


Use a new boot and new grease when replacing the CV joint.

I had the same problem with my 2001 9-3. I ended up replacing the neutral safety switch. It was apparently a common problem in our model year. It cost a couple hundred bucks as I recall. Hope this helps!
