Should both hands be on the wheel when you are backing up?

Its not the law, you generally use one hand to put on the passenger seat so it can allow you to turn your head back farther to see where you are going.

What happens if you damage someone elses property?

Well, if you admit to it up front it won't go as badly as if you try to sneak off or get away with it, but generally if someone damages something that belongs to you I'm fairly certain that you would want them to be held responsible for repair or replacement. That goes both ways.

Who has the right a way the person with a green light and a green arrow pointing left or the oncoming traffic does?

Normally, the green arrow would indicate that the opposing traffic has a red light and as such the green arrow traffic has right of way.

However, due to mechanical or planning errors it is possible that the opposing traffic will also have a green light. If this happens, the opposing traffic (by virtue of going straight) has right of way. If this opposing traffic does not appear to be stopping, green arrow traffic should assume that opposing traffic has a green arrow and right of way. In the event of a collision when both have green, green arrow traffic (turning left) will be found at fault except in no-fault states where this will be considered a no-fault accident.

How long does it take for a car to go from 65 MPH to 85 MPH?

it all depends on the mechanics of the car....horsepower, torque, and weight of the vehicle along with several other statistics are all factors in this equation

Why is quick reaction time important?

It depends on what you are doing, but for instance if you were driving a car, a quick reaction time would be important if a car stopped suddenly in front of you. You would want to be able to stop before ramming it.

The most important thing in backing a motor vehicle?

Is remembering that your steering controls are now opposite as they would normally be. If you're in reverse and paying attention forward, the front now moves opposite the way you turn the steering wheel. This is because a driver should be paying attention to behind them. The rear end now acts as the front end and follows the commands of the steering wheel.

How do you use a tachometer?

Since this is a commercial vehicles category, I shall tell you how to shift via the tach.

Every truck has an optimal RPM range. If you fall below that range the engine could stall; go above it and you'll use too much fuel. For this, our optimal range is going to be 1000 to 1500 rpm.

When you are upshifting, you accelerate until the engine is running 1500 rpm, then shift.

When you are downshifting, you decelerate until the engine hits 1000 rpm, then downshift.

---------------

The 1500/1000 RPM range is sort of a default taught by truck driving schools. In reality, your upshift and downshift points will vary in accordance with a number of factors. Try upshifting at 1500 while on an incline in the mountains, and it won't work out very well for you. Same thing when it comes to heavy haul, or anything off-road. Personally, I prefer to upshift at 1900 - when you shift into the next gear, it puts you in that gear while you're still within the torque band, which is important - if you upshift at 1500, you typically hit the next gear at an RPM range just below the power band. While this may work out sufficiently in parts of Texas or Florida, where it's flat, all it'll do is bog down the engine in any place which isn't. This is hard on the drivetrain.

Is driving difficult?

Not once you get used to it! Once you start out it actually isn't that tricky if you have been driven places a lot.

What is the BAC limit for a commercial driver?

What is the proper way to use anti-lock brakes in an emergency stopping situation?

Slam on the brakes and steer around the obstruction. Do not pump the brakes. The ABS will do this for you. Be prepared for noises and a shudder in the brake pedal which is normal.
