Burn on the same arm as axillary resection and now have itching in the axilla Why?

ok i am not a doctor so i cannot say for sure; however, i had an axillary resection. Prior to the surgery i had severe pain in my armpit after the surgery i have post op difficulty if i lift my arm to high the scar tissue rips, but i dont really feel it in my armpit i feel it across my breast. my armpit pretty much has no feeling as all the nerves were severed and never regenerated properly, yet i feel the pain of ripping and infection that is in my armpit in my breast now and when my breast hurts from something else like i bump it or something i feel tingling in my hand so my theory is that it is referred pain that you feel because some nerve healing took place as with myself but the wiring got screwed up so your body cant tell where pain is coming from the way it is supposed to hope that helps also to keep in mind that it takes up to two years for nerves to regenerate, if they can regenerate, during which time you may experience tingling.

How do mosquitos leave an itch when they bite?

Mosquitoes don't actually bite - they inject you with six needles that crown their proboscis. Their anti-coagulant saliva is injected into your skin to prevent your blood from clotting, thus making it easier for the mosquito to sip blood. The saliva causes allergic reactions against your skin, which creates the itch. Vampire bats also have the same anti-coagulant saliva.

What is the treatment for scabies?

  • Permethrin 5 percent (Elimite). Your doctor may recommend that you apply this cream - which contains chemicals that kill scabies - twice, with a week or so between each application. Permethrin is generally considered safe for children and adults of all ages, including women who are pregnant or nursing.
  • Lindane. This medication - also a chemical treatment - is available as a cream, lotion and shampoo. Like permethrin, it's usually applied in two treatments, spaced about a week apart. This medication isn't safe for children younger than age 2 years, women who are pregnant or nursing, or people with weakened immune systems.
  • Crotamiton (Eurax). This nonchemical medication is applied once a day for two to five days. Your doctor may recommend it if your baby has scabies.

Although these medications kill the mites promptly, you may find that the itching doesn't stop entirely for several weeks.
There is no concrete way to stop scabies from spreading since there is currently not a vaccine available. There are medications that can be taken to treat scabies though.
