We have found a single black scorpian in a darkened area of our home. We live in the hill of Perth WA. Are scorpians readily seen in this area. It was about2 1/2 to 3 inches long and black. Had its tail up.

My question is : Should we be looking for a nest or such close by. Tried to find others but to no avail. Have not seen one inside ever before.

I don't know for sure if there are scorpions in Ohio, however I was climbing a very rocky/dirt cliff at the Metro Park in Euclid, Ohio (suburb of Cleveland) and something crawled out and stung me on my left arm. I never saw what it was. My entire arm went numb. There was minor pain and some swelling at the site of the sting. The numbness lasted several hours and then gradually went away.
