You can find the ignition wiring diagram in most service manuals. The service manuals can be found at most auto-parts store websites.
Info relevent for 97 model:
Heater/Blower motor is located behind the passenger glovebox. It is a contained in large plastic housing connected to the ducting.
1. Remove the glovebox (remove screws)
2. Disconnect negative battery terminal
3. Two wires come out of the motor, the positive and the earthed connections:
Remove the positive by disconnecting the plug from the motor resistor. This plug is
located away to the bottom right of the motor, attached to the airflow ducting.
4. Trace the earth connection to it's grounded location near the passenger door and
remove it.
5. Underneath the motor there is a single plastic retaining clip. While pulling this clip
gently towards the floor, rotate the motor.
5. The motor should pull out. To install, reverse of the instructions.

If the service light is in the shape if a spanner then I presume it is like the 2008 model. In which case press and hold the trip button "0.0" before inserting the key. Insert ignition key while holding down the trip button and turn on ignition without starting car. Release the trip button and the service light spanner will cease to flash. Now turn the trip button to the right (clockwise) and it will reset. Service light (spanner) should disappear and only return when the next service is due!
