What is the meaning of Lorenzini?

Lorenzini is an Italian family name. Many Italians with that name have developed programs and processes that carry their name. One biologist who discovered a sensing mechanism in animals has named them the ampules of Lorenzini.

However, in the sewing category, I would suspect it refers to the famous Lorenzini shirt line. This is a shirt product that is made in the Lorenzini factory and has a reputation of being one of the finest shirts on the market.

To say "I have a Lorenzini" is to say "I have a very high quality shirt"

What is your Kenmore sewing machine model 1207 worth?

Older Sears Kenmore machines, depending on condition, can be PRICELESS! I recently acquired two 1207's ......excellent condition. These machines were made between 1969 -1971........HEAVY metal, easy to operate and maintain. These machines are absolutely made to work as hard as you need them to. I use one at work, 6-7 hours per day, and one at home for 5-6 hours per day. I am a fan of older Kenmore machines and own 5 of them. All are at least 35+ years old, have been worked very hard, and still run beautifully. I routinely oil and clean them and each gets an annual check up by a professional sewing machine repair shop nearby. I have NEVER had any problems with them. I have replaced a couple of needle plates and a couple of bobbin cases.........outside of those, these machines have all their original stuff. I'm a professional seamstress, my income depends on machines I can depend on, and I would never call these machines(older Kenmore's) ''worthless''. The way machines are made today with plastic components inside and out.........I'd never buy one....they're not made to last. (Much like everything else, nowadays).

Hope I helped someone decide.

How much fabric is needed to make a king size bed skirts?

First you have to decide if the skirt is just going to go around the bed, or attached to a "platform" the size of the bed. Then choose whether you are doing a fitted (straight) style, or gathered, which would take about twice or three times as much fabric. Another decision to make is how long of a drop you want. The standards range anywhere from 14 inches to 21 inches.

If you have a California King, the size will be different from the size of an Eastern King.

To determine how much fabric, measure the actual size of the bed, determine the width of the fabric (90", 60", 45"). Once you have made the decisions suggested above, you can take your information to the fabric shop, and they will help you calculate the amount you need.

How do you get updates for a Designer SE sewing machine?

Your best bet would be to visit the Husqvarna update site. This update is available to all registered Husqvarna Viking Designer SE owners. You need the Designer SE 3D Embroidery Software CD, (3D Quickfont, 3D Organizer, Computer Connection) which came with your Husqvarna Viking Designer SE installed on a personal computer, running Windows XP. You need to have your Designer SE registered. Your Designer SE must be registered in the VSM Software Product Registration Database in order to udpate your Designer SE. The Designer SE can only be updated via the Smart Update feature of your software. It cannot be registered from the Husqvarna Viking website. For more information, see the link at the left of your screen. ANSWER: I would suggest that you visit the second link listed below for "Designer SE Updates". It is actually very easy to update the SE and you do not have to go through the 4D or 3D software to accomplish this unless you are updating the embroidery software. And, you can register your machine online - just follow the prompts on the registration page. To update the SE just follow the directions for your machine. Or, you can have your dealer show you how so next time you can do it yourself. Sewmetheway!
