The gun was made for western auto by either stephens, or savage. I also own a Revalations 350H in a 16ga. My info is based on what i have found on the net, and are not absolute 100% historical fact, only what I have found. i hope this is helpful. probably a stephens model 94 sorry for my poor spelling.. I meant stevens....... not stephens, eithther way, still a model 94

My father-in-law just recently came upon an Eclipse Giant model double barrel 12 gauge also. Serial # N27212 w/ twist finish and original walnut stock. Any info to it's value would be great. I know they are deemed very dangerous to shoot.

From the Serial Number provided, this is a 1983 model Skeet Shotgun. I think it is a shame that someone would answer your question and have no idea what the S indicates.

I PURCHASED A J. STEVENS A & T DOUBLE BARREL BACK IN THE MID 60S ; PAID $75.00 FOR IT ; It was far from Original having been Nickle Plated Barrels and a Custom stock for a One Armed Man ! Stock had a Pistol Grip ; Still had alott of the Origial appearance ; the stock was well done ; had I not been brought to sell it years ago ; i feel it should be worth at least $7,500 today ! Now consider it was not original ; which should have made mine of lesser value than your`s ; if your`s is original . They didn`t make alott of those . Now some buyers will attempt to Combine other production into this Fire Arm`s classification ; J. Stevens A & T stands on it`s own ! Do Not give it away ;

No one made OLD ones, but almost every firearms manufacturer made NEW ones a long time ago. If you have a trade name marked on the gun, we may be able to provide a manufacturer's name and approximate age.

C.S. Shattuck Arms Co., Hatfield, Mass. (1878 to 1908) In 1875 C.S. Shattuck and Andrew Hyde started a pistol manufacturing business in Springfield, Mass. In February of 1877, Andrew Hyde and Major Charles S. Shattuck brought their Springfield pistol manufacturing business to Hatfield and went into a partnership with Mrs. Mary D. Porter in the Thomas Meekin sawmill on Prospect St., formerly Crescent Pistol Co. est. 1874 (Shattuck possibly also had, concurrently or otherwise a gun shop on Bridge St. in Hatfield, dates unknown). In 1878 Mrs. Porter withdrew her partnership and the business was continued by Hyde and Shattuck. In 1880 Shattuck bought out Hyde and continued the factory alone, turning out many revolvers. Soon after he began to make single-barreled breech-loading shotguns, and then few years later double-barreled shotguns. Large quantities of both were made, averaging for a time 15,000 guns per year. The gun shop was burned in 1881 and was immediately rebuilt on the same site. The manufacture of guns was abandoned in 1909. In 1910 the only arms being turned out was a new four-shot pistol*, but for how long is unknown. Major Charles S. Shattuck served with the 6th Vermont Infantry in the Civil War and later lived on Main St. in Hatfield, Mass. He returned at least once to Vermont for a military reunion. Shattuck was best known for inexpensive handguns and single barrel shotguns. Their single barrels are valued from $35 to $100, double barrels $100-$400 depending on condition. I have a 12 Ga. sitting here saying springfield manufactured by J. Stevens arms company. If that helps ya any. It's a single shot that's really short with no searial number or model number.

Depends on condition. If at 90 to 100% good, price is from $100-150. Or as in all things it is worth what someone is willing to pay to own it.

it will accept Winchester 30-30 150 grain bullets. Remington sells them for about $12 dollars for a box of twenty. I own the same model gun myself.

Modele 10 made from 1945 to 1956 these are 6 shot often found with magazine plugs limiting them to three shos in excellent condition worth about 100 bucks or more depending on series 583 1 worth more than 583 20 etc and that depends who whats it gun dealers will pay the least as these gun are not very popular the latter one known as the model 11 583 1100 5831101 and 583 1102 are rare but not all that valuable and you would be lucky to get 50 bucks for one

Also beware there there is a recall on the JC Higgins shot guns.

(NYSE: S) today announced a voluntary recall of J.C. Higgins Bolt Action

12-Gauge shotguns, a product manufactured for and sold by the company during

the 1950s.

The shotguns are being voluntary recalled due to a potential problem with

the bolt latch assembly, which could cause the assembly to fail allowing it to

dislodge and strike the operator in the face. Sears is offering a $160

finders' fee for the return of the bolt, making the shotgun inoperable.

The shotguns were sold in Sears stores and through its catalog as the

"J.C. Higgins Bolt Action 12-Gauge Model 10 Shotgun" during the 1950s. It was

carried under a number of product numbers: 583.13, 583.14, 583.15, 583.16,

583.17, 583.18, 583.19, 583.20, 583.21 and 583.22. The product model number

is engraved on the barrel of the shotgun.

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the shotgun. Call
